But, I really don't want to jump to conclusions, he just might have legitimate reasons, but I sent him two additional pm's; 1 he got and the others still in my outbox and I didn't receive a response yet. But, it's not looking good so far.

Well, so far I have 2 pm's from him stating two different times when he was going to mail them. Latest date was Saturday or Monday. I also noticed, which I forgot about, in another pm from him "that I'm close to $100 in debt over shipping costs". Well, again, if people paid for shipping, I don't see the hold up. I ordered one game. It doesn't take much to pack up one game. But, only time will tell. Tick toc....tick toc....tick toc......

Well, Joel Park recommended him. But after reading his post, I have one problem. He states that "I'm breaking-down the load into batches of 5~10 packages each to make it easier on my wallet" I'm nto exactly sure what this means since I (and I would assume everyone else he traded with) paid for postage. So, what could his expenses be???? Obviously, it's not shipping. I did pay by money order, so it's somewhat traceable, but I can't shake the feeling now.

Well, I understand your point. But if you want to spend $5 or more on Pac-Man or Combat, be my guest. I will give you directions to a Salv Army that has about 2-3 of each.

Well, the TI99/4A has the same port, although it is wired differently. Not sure if that would count though.

Obviously the thrifts are watching eBay. I noticed lately that the 2 Salv Army's around me now keep their systems and/or games behind locked display cases. Why else would they do this. It wasn't because of theft I'm sure.

You can go to Electronics Boutique too. They sell them used (some in their original boxes) with 2 controllers and all hookups plus a free game for $29.00

For all those loose games??? I don't think it's bad, even with the shipping. Nothing real rare, but if you don't have any of them, or very little, then yeah, I'd say it wasn't bad.

Well, I have a good system 1 I was thinking of selling. It has the console (just missing the cover for the expansion port), one original controller (a little rattle inside, but works great), a third party controller that has a slot on it which looks like a cart slot, an ac adapter, and the following games: Zoop, Aaahhh Real Monsters, Clue, Sonic Classics (boxed complete; has 3 games: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine), and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (boxed complete). The only thing missing is the RFU, but I use a single RCA cord and the infamous RCA to coaxil adapter (get almost anywhere) and it works perfectly. I'm not even sure if the missing cover is a problem or not, but I'm sure one can be found somewhere. If you're interested, I could let it go for about $20 plus shipping. Drop me a pm if you are interested.

"Re-chipped" I'd gather could either mean that the pins were re-bent or quite possible re-placed. I would ask the person who did the repair which one they did. It is quite possible that the pins aren't alligned anymore. In most cases, re-bending does work, but other times it's just easier to replace the 72 pin connector; which is an easy job to do.

I found another copy of Asteroids the other day. But it's different than the one I have or the one listed here. The label is different by having a deeper color gray and it's printed in Taiwan instead of Hong Kong. The screw hole was showing, so it was easy to open up. The other noticible difference was the dust door on the slot side as well as the missing triangular slots under the label at the top of the cart. The rom cart does say © 1984, as I'm sure they all do, but why is this one so different?

If you're getting a blinking power light, 9 times out of 10 it's the 72 pin connector. Either it needs a very good cleaning or some of the pins are bent. You can try to re-bend the pins. I did this once and the system worked great again. Or, you might want to just replace the connector. It's very easy to do.

I'd love to own a proto. But I don't want to offend anyone with my maximum spending amount. It wouldn't do it any justice.

I have the following 4 titles from the Sesame Street line available fs/ft. The label conditions can be seen in the pics below. They are clean and work very well. I would like to trade these for 7800 titles I currently need, but will listen to other offers. If the offer is good, I'll throw in the kid's controller and my set of homemade overlays for these games (they're not exactly perfect, colors are a little off, but they do work very well). Besides what you mentioned, I also remove the 72 pin connector, clean out the cartridge port and clean the contacts on the connector and on the mother board with alcohol. I don't know if it really does anything, but no harm right?

How about the video game that took the industry by storm and set a new standard? It's even the one that most kids flocked to to play that cost $1.00 a game. Even so much that arcade owners had to install a seperate TV above the game so people could see. It was also very addictive........... Dragon's Lair

I have the same problem. Some of my Imagic carts almost don't even want to go in. Such a pain.

I would go with a 7800. You can use your current hookups (except ac adapter of course) and joysticks (for most of the games), plus it'll play most of your 2600 games right off the bat, with no adapters.

Can't decide between Pitfall II and Jr. Pac-Man.
