The only other downside is that the buyer and/or seller are not protected. What if the buyer pays and the seller "skips town" so to speak? What can the buyer do?? I believe the buyer is SOL.

I agree with you for the most part on these, except for the following: Ballblazer: Should be a 3. It's coming up more and more now. Waterski: Should be a 7 too. It rarely surfaces just like Tank Command. Food Fight: Should be a 3 (maybe even a 2), it seems to be getting pretty common. I found about 3 in the wild so far. Mean 18: Should be more of a 5. It's getting harder and harder to find. Scrapyard Dog. Should be more of a 3 (maybe even a 4). It's becomming quite rare and even more of a soughtafter game.

Yeah, it's a fun system, but I like it for 2 reasons: 1) I have a very clear memory of my dad and I sitting down at night and playing hours upon hours of Pac-Man or Combat "back-in-the-day" and since he past away a while ago, it's a very pleasant memory to remember. and 2) To do the same with my son and hopefully he'll have the same memory years later when I am gone. In other words, to sum it up in one word: bonding

Well, I just looked at that auction, and although it does seem like a decent price, look at the shipping. That's where the seller makes up the difference. I don't own one of these guns, but I figure it must weight 2 pounds MAX. He's charging, and I quote "$7.75 via fast Priority Mail". That shipping seems high, even with DC, it shouldn't cost more than $5.00 (again assuming the 2 pound weight, which I'm sure it's not). Besides, I ship Priority, how do I get the fast method instead of the standard? I was curious of this.

Well, the NTSC version is a rated 9 because it is very scarce in the US. On the other hand, the PAL version is is alot easier to find. I don't see a rarity for the PAL version, but I would guess around a 4 or so. As far as a good deal, that's a toughie to answer. Personally, I think it's a little high, but someone else may think otherwise.

Exactly, if you can find a TV from the 80's (like maybe from Salvation Army for a couple of bucks) or you can use an International VCR. They play PAL or NTSC tapes and can also handle both signals. I use a 13" color TV from 1983 for my system. Works great too; it even has the woodgrain cabinet and looks great with my 4 and 6 switch woody sitting next to it.

I would guess that it's either the camera or their photo editing doing that.

I have one; it's one of the original kind. It doesn't have the Dualshock thumbpads. I don't use it, it just lays around here. If you want to pm me your addy, I can let you have it for zilch.

Well, I decided to pass along my boxed SNES system. Frankly, I just don’t have the room as I keep getting more and more stuff. This is what’s included. The system (a little yellowed), the ac cord, a/v cable, RFU cable, 2 controllers, all manuals, 3 games: Final Fight, Wizardy V, and SuperScope 6. I’ll even throw in the promotional video for Donkey Kong Country (in it’s original packaging). I really don’t want to go the eBay way with this so I thought I would post it here and see if anyone is interested. I would either trade or sell it. As far as trades, I would consider Atari 7800 titles I don’t have (ask for a list) or if I sell it, I’d probably ask around $40 + shipping, but I would consider other offers. And, yes, everthing works perfectly. Any questions, just ask.

Yes, I can only recall seeing it on the PSX and now on the GBA. The only other non-console version I remember was the PC. Doom on the other hand was on almost every platform.

I would ask the seller either to replace it or refund your money, including the insurance that you paid for. Did you clearly state that you want insurance as opposed to just adding in into the total? If so, I would also ask him why he didn't put insurance on it when you paid for it. Was it also poor packing? If so, mention that to him too. What is the seller's feedback like? Does it show similar things happening to other buyers? I would try these ways first instead of "going in guns ablazing". This seller might be willing to work with you. If he ignores your e-mails or tells you "which level of heck you can go to", file a complaint with e-bay and it's up to you to leave feedback, but if you do, leave it accordingly, only use facts; don't use any retalitory remarks. Did he leave feedback for you yet? If not, he might neg you, but I'm sure that if you leave factual feedback, and he negs, people who see your feedback will see the neg as retalitory and take it as that. But, keep us informed if you can.

When I had mine, I remember the reception to be crappy. But I used it as a monitor. Pluged in a vcr (or camcorder) into the external antenna port and presto, a 3" color monitor. I assume you can do this with anything that has audio/video out.

That's pretty much what I meant. I remember playing "way back when" and my TV had that little pathetic speaker on the front. And it always sounded tinny. I think it would have been a good idea then, but not now. Besides, I run my TV through my stereo; surround sound rules.

I'd say it is. Been trying to snag one for a while always getting outbid at the last minute. Then, finally, got one at a great price.

I check thrift stores year round, some atique stores (actually found a few boxed games there pretty cheap), and of course, the fleas when it's time.

As dry as a freshly changed baby here. Except for 1 Sears console I just found, but that's it for Atari.

Oh, and btw, thank you Nathan. this clears it up for me. I wasn't sure if the differences in the Atari versions were the same for the Sears versions. But, I think that the speaker idea would have been a good one. Too bad.

Well, I'll stick by my guns and call it whatever I want to call it. Who says what name version is correct anyway?? Everybody calls it whatever name they so choose. "Heavy Sixer", in my eyes, and not because of majority, seems appropriate. "Heavy" weight, "Sixer" 6 switches. End of story.
