  1. Well, I walked into 1 of my 2 local Salv. Army stores and lo and behold, sitting on one of the counters was an Atari 2600 console. It was facing backwards, but still recognizable. But there was one problem. There was one mean looking dude standing next to it looking at it, but not picking it up. Of course my first thought was that if he reached for the console, I would jump him, grab it and run. (yeah right, keep on dreaming). But, he walked on. I made a dash to it and turned it around. It is a Sears Telegames 6-switch console. No ac adapter or joysticks, just the attached rf cord. Besides being a little dusty, it was in great shape. Marked $4.99, I didn't think it was too bad since this was my first Atari find this year. It has been pretty dry around here since last summer. I haven't tested it out yet, so hopefully it works. If not, I have a nice bookend to hold up my boxed games. I am wondering one thing though, I can't figure out if it's a heavy sixer or not. It does seem to weigh a little more than my 4-switch woody, but not much. Besides, weight, was there any other way to tell the two apart: Heavy or not? I did notice one thing, looking down into the "ribs" on the top, between the slot and the wood panel, there are 2 circular openings under the ribs as if meant for speakers. Not exactly sure what they mean. But, if anybody can help me find out what version I have, and if I got a good deal, I appreciate it.
  2. I would say that it's about $100 overpriced. Notice the seller's id? I wonder if it's the same as the site. I doubt it, but you never know.
  3. Strangely, I have the opposite experience... Pitfall 2 plays fine on my 7800, but I can't get it to work reliably on my 2600! That is weird. Mine works perfectly on the 2600, but all I get is either a black screen or a screen with white wavey lines if I try it on my 7800. Very weird indeed.
  4. Whoops, sorry Thomas. I didn't notice that you already posted this. My bad.
  5. Ooohhh, finally a buyer! I knew if I hung on to this I would make money(Rubs hands together). Let's see, I have about 4 drums of the stuff if you are interested. Comes directly from the insides of all my consoles. Very *RARE* stuff. I can send pics if you want.
  6. Thought I would take a shot here. I need to replace the power button on my 7800 console and was wondering if someone might have a space. I'm also looking for the brushed aluminum strip that goes on the front. Let me know if you can help or know where I can find them. I know Best Electronics used to sell the strip, but I don't see the power switch on their site.
  7. Those 4 games are for the TI 99/4A computer. It's capable of playing carts and tapes.
  8. Is it just on my end? The "official" time on the board's front page is about 1 hr 10 minutes behind. Wanted to make sure it wasn't on my end.
  9. Well, I think the more correct answer is yes and no. There are a few that don't work: Robot Tank, Decathlon, Space Shuttle, Time Pilot, Kool-Aid Man, and I believe that the Supercharger won't work either. I believe it also depends on what 7800 you have. The older the deck, the more likely the game will work. I also noticed that I can't get my copy of Pitfall 2 to work on my 7800, but yet it works fine on my 2600. Not sure if this is another one, or if something else is wrong.
  10. I would vote for Jr. Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man, and my favorites, Pitfall and Pitfall 2.
  11. I think Mario and Pac-Man are almost even Mario might be slightly more. I seem to remember that when Mario Cuomo was running for Mayor of NY, they were making some comparing comments about him with the video game character.
  12. Well, if you want a complete list, go to digitalpress. If you are looking for a more current one, go to vintagegamer.net. Unfortunatly, vg's list isn't completed yet; it's a work in progress as the site as a whole is still in development, but keep looking. It will be a site dedicated to Nintendo.
  13. Well, since there is no Pac-Man for the 7800 (and I assume you mean games for the 7800 and again assuming you mean Ms. Pac-Man), I would vote for Ms. Pac-Man. Another good arcade title to get is Galaga.
  14. I remember them. Zork trilogy, Enchanter trilogy, Planetfall, Stationfall, Leather Goddesses, etc. I think I must have played them all. Where did you find it??
  15. I bought from this guy awhile back and don't recall having any sort of problem. But after reading this, and the posted feedback he has left for others, I definately will not be a repeat buyer. Tis a shame, but there are a plethera of other GOOD and HONEST sellers out there who will not talk to you like you are the slime of humanity. As far as his little statement about Canadians. Well, I have bought, sold, and traded, as well as had family, friends, etc from Canada, and "stupid" is not the first word that comes to mind. Granted, the customs leaves a little to be desired, but it's not their fault. I just thought stating that kind of remark was just unjust and unnecessary. I probably shouldn't say this but it's the truth: I wouldn't recommend this store to my worst enemy. I said my peace.

    Ummmm....... Did I miss something?????
  17. edit post: Before Snorlax's post that is.
  18. Well, I thought of this song before Snorlax, but here goes: Cold as Ice - Foreigner
  19. Or you looking to buy or to trade? If trade, what do you have to trade? Maybe put up a trade list of what you are willing to trade.
  20. I don't think that would be the case. I don't think the seller would risk a negative feedback for that. But I could be wrong.
  21. Well, the "official" waiting time, according to eBay, is to contact each other within 3 buisness days of auction's close. I would give the seller at least that. You might want to consider an extra day or two, because sometimes, things come up where the seller may not be able to answer you right away. I always give the benefit of the doubt. Are you considering not buying from this seller and buying the games somewhere else?
  22. Try Mike at Collector's Cards & Games . I get alot of stuff through him and he even does trades. I would recommend him anytime.
  23. 1 - Commando 2 - Donkey Kong 3 - Donkey Kong Jr. 4 - Ikari Warriors 5 - Mario Brothers 6 - Mean 18 Ultimate Golf 7 - Ms. Pac-Man 8 - Planet Smashers 9 - Scrapyard Dog 10 - Xenophobe Not really in order of preference, because I really can't decide what would be #1 because they are all good. But these I would pick out in a heartbeat.
  24. I'm looking for the manual for this game. If anyone has one they can part with, let me know. We can probably work something out. Thanks.
