  1. That's true Marco. But once, just once, I would like to say "yes, I do have a very rare cart" and not refer to ET or Pac-Man.
  2. Boy, am I seriously interested, but in no way can I compete in the price category.
  3. No problem sonnenhexer; no offense taken and obviously none ment.

That makes sense feo. No problem. You'll get the hang of it.

ok, please accept my apology for the stupidy here, but I'm as confused as a baby in a topless bar.

ummmmm............ok????????????? wondering what? If I may ask?????
  7. Don't get me wrong sonnenhexer, I still think it's a good idea. I just wanted to quote a few instances that I would like this community to avoid. The last thing I want to see is this board going all "business". I finally found a good board with good people, a place of knowledge and know-how, and a place to have a good time if not a good laugh, but yet I have no problem with some business going on. I only wanted to express my concerns, as I think anybody here can do, and which I appreciate being able to do.
  8. It was nothing but "sell this", "trade that", "auction this", nothing but business. I don't mind some business, don't get me wrong, but you need other topics too. Like here, where there is joking, contests, and all around good times; the pirate thread is a perfect example. People just having fun, talking about common interests. Those boards were a little while ago, mind you, but I still remember them and how they turned out.
  9. Al, I agree. I was just making a point that I didn't want to see it get out of hand. I still think that mentioning your ebay-id is a great idea. It's just that I have seen problems on other boards and didn't want that happening here. It's a great message board with a great community and just hate to see anything happen to it.
  10. Ah, looking back at those care-free days of playing two-player games by myself with two joysticks, one in each hand ............ um, er, ah, yeah, those great two-player games, they were really fun. Sadly, I DID use to do this, when I was home sick from school and being an only-child, playing like this until my friends came over after school.
  11. I, for one, think it's a possible good idea. And like Al said, if there is any damage done, it is reversible. The downsides that I can foresee, is that 1)it might be construed as spamming; and 2) it might be the first step in a series of steps that could turn this board into a more business atmosphere instead of it's current state of care-free and opinionated nature that turned me here in the first place. I have seen other boards that are so hell-bent on marketting ploys that they turn you away so fast. As long as we don't topple to far down that line, I think it's a good idea. Just my opinion.
  12. Try thrift stores, flea markets, yard sales, and lately maybe even comic book stores. You can probably get a working or even a non-working NES console for under $5. I have seen them at yard sales for about that, some with games and some without.
  13. Sorry to hear that Phil. Let us know if they turn up.
  14. I found a boxed copy of HH about 6 months ago for $4. I think that $30 is pretty steep actually, unless it was sealed, which ofcourse it wasn't as we can tell from the pic.
  15. BTW, I did update my main list and trade list over the weekend. Check there again. I mainly found commons, but you never know.
  16. Sorry video game addict, I just saw your post. That does sound like a good deal. I would really prefer a 7800 console and adapter over a 2600 jr, but so far no luck on the 7800. If you can give me a couple of days, I have a few leads that I would like to pursue. Obviously, if someone else makes you an offer, go ahead with it. I'll let you know in a few days. Thanks.
  17. Just a quick note. On the Skiing scan, the word controller is missing the "t". Just thought I bring that to your attention.
  18. Had to share this one. It's a laugh riot! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1753392935
  19. Nashnooga, make sure the end you plug into the main board has a 90 degree angle otherwise it will be too long to close back up.
  20. Rob, save the kid's controller overlays and using a photo editor, print them out at 5" wide by 6" long. That's the dimensions I used and they fit the kid's controller perfectly.
  21. Andrew I agree with you on somehow 'marking' a non-paying bidder's account. Apparently, as it stands, their account is 'marked', but it's not visable to users. I'm dealing with a dead beat bidder now with a perfect feedback, low, but perfect. Now they ignore all e-mails and warnings. Well, guess what?? Negative feedback time. Sorry, this guy has me irked and just needed to vent.
  22. Well Freedom, let me know if you find out anything. Thanks.
  23. You can also use a standard RCA cable to replace that one. You might also have a torn section inside the cable. Who knows. But try another cable, one that can handle video is fine, and see if that works. I assume you know how to open and find the connection. It's pretty simple. I replaced mine with a standard yellow RCA cord with a 90 degree angle on one end to fit onto the main board and it works perfectly.
