  1. That's why I put the antique store in quotes. I use the phrase lightly. They claim to be an antique store, but I believe that nothing in there is more than 20 years old. They had a few other Atari carts that I passed up like Venture, Combat, Video Pinball, Amidar, Hangman, Circus Atari, Carvinal, of what I can remember. They were all boxed and $6.00 each. But I had all of them except the Crackpots.
  2. I believe they are worth the fuss. I noticed that since I have been using the A/B switch with the coaxil to RCA adapter, the sound and the picture are far more sharp and clear than the normal RF game switches. No more fuzzy lines or staticy sounds.
  3. Found a NES Starmaster joystick at a local thrift store last night for $1.00 and was wondering if this was a good find. I have one for the Atari 2600, but never knew Kraft made one for the NES. Anybody have any info on this?
  4. After about a month of "dry time", I finally found an Atari 2600 game last night at an "antiques" store; Crackpots, boxed with instructions, warranty, and the 1983 Activision catalog. He had $6.00 on the box (ouch!), but I managed to talk him into $3.00. Being it was I game I didn't have, I thought it was a good find.
  5. Joel, e-mail me so I know where I can ship the games.
  6. No. The system should still power up and display the game. Obviously, you just can't do anything.
  7. Ok, so that's all five NES games for the 3 Atari games and $3.00, plus I'll pay to ship these 5 games out to you. Right? If so, that's fine for me.
  8. Any video game switch will work as long as they are a manual one. Automatic ones will not work as the 2600 doesn't produce enough power to switch the box over itself. Or, for better picture quality, you can use an RCA to Coaxle connector (also at Radio Shack) for about $2.49. I use that with an A/B switch and the sound and picture are extremely better.
  9. That's ok. I wish I could have helped you out more, but the other NES games I have you don't have listed on your want. So, for the five NES games I listed above, we trade for Tax Avoiders and China Syndrome. Sound good to you?
  10. The only boxes I have are: 1) Dig Dug 2) Jr. Pac-Man 3) Kangaroo 4) Phoenix 5) Star Raiders (all 3, outer, game, and controller) 6) Tennis 7) Vangard They are all in various condition, from almost new to ok, but not badly beat up. BTW: What would give trade for the NES games I did list though??
  11. I'm interested in 3 of your games you listed here. Tax Avoiders, Chine Syndrome and Cruise Missle. Let me know what kind of deal we can make. I'd love to have all 3
  12. I have 5 of the NES carts you are looking for (if your list is current), including one that is boxes (but not sealed). Let me know if you are still interested. 1) Rad Racer II (boxed) 2) RBI Baseball 2 3) Rygar 4) Sesame Street 123 5) Sesame Street Countdown
  13. Well, now I have seen everything. And I thought selling chewed bubble gum a few months ago, or buying some person's mother's thoughts were enough, but this, this takes the cake. I guess what I heard is true, if you can't get rid of it, put it on eBay.
  14. The new site is great. But like Jobf mentioned, I also noticed that titles have changed. But other than that, I love what you have done to the place.
  15. Sounds like the forum will be great. Can't wait to use it.
  16. I believe the idiom is "how do you like them apples". I found the meaning is "do you like this better? do you like that choice?" An example would be "If you don't like the bed, you can sleep on the floor. How do you like them apples? " Here is the site I found: http://home.t-online.de/home/toni.goeller/.../idioms315.html
  17. I only noticed a few things so far about the cards. On the joker card, the joker is holding 4 cards (club, diamond, spade & heart). Three of these cards are showing but no diamond? A coincidence???? Also, top left shows "how?" and bottom left shows "who?" I'm sure the order has something to do with it. Also, when you save the cards as bitmaps, notice the name of each file. Very interesting.
  18. I don't remember seeing or hearing anything about these kind of joysticks. They are obviously out of my range, but was very curious about them. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1358046098
  19. I have a copy of Moon Patrol, but I don't use Paypal. If you have another option, let me know.
  20. I have a Buck Rogers and Star Wars Death Star Battle. What would you be willing to trade for them?
  21. I'd say that's a pretty good haul Heavy-Sixer. Better than what I've been finding lately.
  22. Doesn't it seem wierd that NES carts are popping up everywhere now? I saw a whole slew of them in Florida, but only picked up a few. I was afraid that if I bought too many, my fiancee would make me walk home.
