I posted this in the other thread but wanted to post it here in case you don't see it there. I have heard back from the Littleton, NH Police Department. I spoke to an officer there who is going to handle this next week. She did suggest thought that I should let everybody else who is involved that they need to contact her. So, if you have a trade/purchase with Pooyan, PM me and I will give you the info you need. Please, and I have to state this, make sure that you really do have a trade with him and are not PM'ing me with false info. Finally, sounds like something is going to be done!!!

As far as I know joysticks wouldn't fry anything as they are not powered themselves. The pins that get bent are generally the 9 pins in the D shaped connector on the CV console, or the male connector as they are sometimes called. Try cleaning the 9 pins in each of the connectors and let them dry then try again and see what happens.

Just to give everyone a little heads up. I have placed a telephone call with the Littleton, NH Police Department, briefly explained my situation and that there are about 20 or so people involved and that an officer will be getting back to me. Hopefully they will soon. If anybody wants me to mention them to the officer, let me know. I also suggest that we should start a thread and everyone who traded/bought with Pooyan post their trade/purchase info (what they bought, how much, how paid, when paid, etc.) as it may prove useful later. I know my amount is small compared to some people's trades here, but I have had enough. It is now 2 months and nothing. If and when I hear back from the police, I'll update here. I may not get anywhere in the end, but sure as hell it won't be from lack of trying. Wish me luck.

I would guess bend pins as well. I had quite a few CV with that problem.

I need a replacement metal strip for my 7800. I know that Best Electronics sells them, but they have a minimum and I don't need anything else from them right now. I know the strip doesn't cost much, but I don't want to waste money buying stuff I don't need just to meet their minumum. So, if anyone has a junker 7800 or an extra strip let me know and maybe we can work something out.

I have about 17 to go, but I would of had one is a particular trade went through, and I won't mention any names. But, I'm sure everyone knows.......

I posted a thread about him a little ago. I did try calling him and was given a message from someone that "he doesn't live here anymore" and she gave me his cell phone number. Well, I tried that number about 6-7 times now with no answer or no call back. It is now over a month later, obviously he doesn't want to mail out my auction, nor to any of the other buyers I have talked with.

Oh, I know. Understand, I don't want to go in "guns ablazing" but I was never in this circumstance before and wasn't sure how to handle it.

Some help please. I bid on an auction and was out-bid at the last minute. A few days later, the seller sent me a second chance offer. I used the buy-it-now on that, completed checkout and the seller e-mailed me the total. This morning I get an e-mail from him saying "Oops, I messed up, the high-bidder did come thru for this item, so it's been sold. Sorry for the confusion." Now, I have bought a second chance auction that isn't "available" anymore because the seller screwed-up. Now what do I do? Leave negative?? Report the seller?? I haven't paid yet, but this is wrong. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Actually, it does include "documentation verifying authenticity". But, I think I'll still pass on this. It's not that much of a must have.

BUt you have to admit that his responses did not help his creditability. Raised way to many warning flags for me.

I read that link, and either I'm missing something, or something. But, it said to take a "working joypad" take it apart and combine it into an NES pad. Ok. But if you already have a joypad, why take it apart????? You already have an NES style pad without any conversion. But the Atari joypad that is mentioed in the link might not be the same one I am thinking of. Can someone clear this up for me?

And in the immortal words of Richard Nixon: "I am not a crook" It is my understanding that he may have no internet or so forth, but it's still no reason not to send out games. You don't need an internet connection to mail. He has the addresses AND the money and/or trades, so I still fail to see the holdup. I pretty much kissed my money goodbye. And as far as still hoping to see the game, sorry to say this, but this as gone on long enough, I've came to the conclusion of WE HAVE BEEN HAD. I already filed complaints against him and there's nothing else I can or want to do. So, if the game somehow miracciously appears in my mail box, so be it. But it won't change the damage that has been done. End of my ranting and my last word on this subject.

Sniderman I believe offered clocks. I seem to remember that one of his 12 days of X-Mas contests had a clock as a prize.

If nothing else, the request for the "ATM Pin" makes it clearly a forgery. Paypal, AFAIK doesn't request that even when signing up. Obviously someone with way too much time on their hands.....
