  1. Update: Neptune's Daughters just arrived from Cardiff, UK. The seller was a great guy, and also included a free game of my choice that he let me choose from a list (I chose Mr. Dig). He also offered me some interesting info. Since at the time I was wondering if it came in a cardboard box, I asked if he had the game since it was new, and this is what he said: He also included the empty case. Was Dan Strikes Back originally in that plain case? If they were packaged as a double game, what kind of packaging held them together? This is quite interesting, and I will be sending him another message. Anyway, here's the pics:
  2. Thanks for you help, everyone. I went ahead and ordered Neptune's Daughters. Can't wait till it arrives!
  3. I understand that there may be some variables here, but for the most part, did the cassettes come as is, or did they also come in a nice cardboard box? The reason I'm asking is because I'm a Big Box collector, and I'm trying to find a box for Neptune's Daughters. The problem might be that I'm looking for something that never existed though, so I need some help. Thanks in advance!
  4. My Ultrasatan's SD cards work fine in my PC, but I'm using PP's HD driver. Well worth the money (under $15 if I remember right).
  5. Ultrasatan user here with a Mega STe. It didn't work when unpacked, but it did work when I used Peter Putnik's Image Runner. Simply put the .st file on your hard disk, and drag it over to the appropriate .prg file. Since I'm using TOS 2.06, I dragged it to IMGRF2.PRG. IMGRF.ZIP
  6. Thanks, I see that now! I'm so glad that I was mistaken. I've decided to get two keyboards: One a mini, that doesn't have to have MIDI ports, and one full sized, 88 key keyboard with MIDI. I will keep looking for good ones. I've heard good things about Korg's. My friend got her ex one for Christmas, 2002. She still remembers the model, a Korg Karma. Says she paid like $1,500 for it from Sam Ash. 😲 Is that the one with the floppy drive? Damn, that's a great deal and it still works!
  7. So keyboards today no longer have the duel MIDI in and out ports? I'm looking for a decent one with 88 keys, and so far they all have that USB MIDI port instead. If they stopped making them, when was the last year that they were made? See this thread:
  8. Wow, that looks awesome! I would love to play it on my STacy. Any plans for an English patch? If not I will play it with a close friend who is German.
  9. Ok, I finally ran Warzone, but the only way that I could get it to run was in Hatari using TOS 1.62 and Serenade loaded and booting from A. When running it as a standalone, I get "TOS error #35". When running your patched file, I get "Error #048". Still, it was fun to play after all these years, even though it differs from my old version (it wasn't a demo and that title screen wasn't there). If you can figure out how to get it running on TOS 2.06 (or can find the my version), please let me know!
  10. Wow, thanks for that! Playing Saddam Shoot for the first time since the 90's! Works great! Repetitive, but works! Yes, I have TOS 2.06 on my Mega STe. A TOS switcher is what I would really love, if I don't have to modify my case by drilling. As for Warzone, I did see that file in a search, but like I said, mine was different with no elaborate title screen, so I passed on it. Nevertheless, since mine is toast, I decided to go for it. I can't getyour patched file to work for anything, so I tried the one in the link. Oddly enough, warzone.prg in your link didn't work on anything either. I even tried in in Hatari on an STe running 1.62, and a regular ST with EmuTOS. Not enough memory errors, no matter how much I add.
  11. Any idea how I can download Multi Game for the ST? It's 5 games in one. I had it on an old disk but the only thing that remains is the disk and label. Doing a Google search brought me just one result, this: https://archive.org/stream/current-notes-volume-15-number-1-january-february-1995/Current_Notes_Volume_15_Number_1_January_February_1995_djvu.txt
  12. Two files in question: The first is WARZONE.PRG. It was the first game that I ever downloaded, back on GEnie on May 12, 1993 (file still has the date). I had it saved all of these years. When I first downloaded it, it ran on my Atari 1040 STe running TOS 1.62. My real hardware today is a Mega STe, but whenever I try to run it, I get TOS error #35, which worries me. I have tried running it on Hatari using TOS1.62 on the virtual STe (and other configurations) to no avail. It is a Scorched Earth type of game. I have seen it online, but that isn't my version. It did not have a fancy title screen. Can anyone get it to work? This one is pretty sentimental, even though it's extremely obscure. Here is Warzone (as stated, not my version, and mine was freeware) The second game is Saddam Shoot. I still have my original, and even downloaded another I found online. It crashes with bombs on every configuration. Here it is: https://www.atarilegend.com/games/saddam-shoot I have attached both files. Please help. WARZONE.PRG SADDAM.LZH
  13. Thanks, downloading now. Slow server, ready in like 10 hours lol, but that's ok I will check in the morning.
  14. Wow, that's insane! I haven't read through all of it, but the finalized picture is flat out amazing! Did you get the parts? I saw your post saying that your order was canceled and you ordered again. Also, what is the total list of things I'd need to buy? The screen, connectors, 3D printed brackets, and what else? I sure wish there was a video out there, not sure if I can do it, but it's easier if I only use high-resolution. I sure wish I could pay someone that I trusted to do it for me. Here's a pic of my STacy. It is 100% original. The seal underneath hasn't even been broken. What do you think? Screen still decent for 35 years old or so? Bonus: spot the MSTe in the background if you can.
  15. Yeah, I was asking if using the US's battery instead has any disadvantages, since I have to put that RTC program in boot. Yeah, I could easily do it, but is it necessary? As long as the US's battery is working fine, is there any reason to change it?
  16. Did you ever get around to doing it? If yes, how hard is it, and are the instructions in that thread doable for most? Any videos?
  17. He could have stole it for what he considered fun, which could be the same reason why he changed the finances (if he's real, big if). As for the letter, he theoretically could have given it to his mom, or told her to write it when she was visiting, although I'm not sure why that would be on his mind in dire times.
  18. For some reason, the version I have is called Take-Two. Fun, but I don't like that the timer is so fast.
  19. I honestly forgot, but I have to change the battery. Does using the MSTe's internal battery save memory? Thanks, I'll check them out! I should have been more specific, I am looking for PD/Shareware games and utilities, especially those from the late 80's to mid 90's. I put this time frame as the golden years of Public Domain, and need to get a few that I had back. That link's list, while amazing, seems to be commercial.
  20. I don't own a 3D printer at the moment, and even if I did, I'd rather just pay someone so it comes out perfect.
  21. Here's a screen of it that I ripped off of a Facebook post. It was from a guy who claimed that he had TOS 1.98. Here's the post, if anyone's interested: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2260264734/posts/10160404084984735/
  22. Wow, probably at least $10k. I wish I had the box and manual for mine.
  23. Has anyone ever heard of or used this utility (or the company)? Seems everyone here knows about Sysinfo, but The STatiSTician is totally off the radar. I found out about it in late October on Facebook, though some PM's finally tracked down a good link. Seems pretty useful. Anyway, I'm providing the link and attaching the software as well, for future preservation and remembrance. Enjoy! https://www.atariuptodate.de/en/3577/statistician?fbclid=IwAR1Vt_2O2XrWi7_TogDh2u4fQrcqBWn_jm7DydjteueeD0Qbid9qoM5HfmU The STatiSTician by Structured Technology for Atari ST 1990 V_426.ZIP
