Superb. Not only did the ugly tag cloud just return, now it's also broken for 2+ word tags like "Rainbow Arts".
Thank heavens, at least the search worked, so I still managed to find the Katakis entry

I think IO has even better graphics than Armalyte or Katakis. If you find the C64 tag (Yay, that one's still working!), you can compare Armalyte and IO directly. Bob Stevenson sure was the #1 8-Bit pixel god at the time!

I figured it. They meant to say this:
Peace and harmony prevailed in the universe again.

ah, the German form of Engrish
Germish?
I like the colors of the message. Are they animated?Just had another look. Surprisingly enough, no. There's several things in the game that color cycle, like e.g. the top right score block, but that one message doesn't.

"REGENTED"...WTF? I can't even figure out what that word is supposed to be.It's a german game, so I've to apologize for the butchering of your fine language. I assume 'reigned' is the word they actually wanted there?

-
Hah!
Not giving up easily, I tried my luck again tonight and succeeded!

With Disney buying Marvel, my wife just wondered if the X-Men will sing between battles in the next movie

BTW: See above, emoticons are still disabled. In fact, they're disabled in _all_ older blog comments, as far I can tell.

I'm actually planning to write such a tool for quite some time now. It's good to see more demand for itI just wish there were a way to download all of my entries to "back them up" in a bunch of text or html files without having to go through them all and save copies.

The tags will get usefull once you can properly search them, especially once you can combine them. E.G. when searching for "graftgold" AND "c64" in my tags, you'll then get all articles about Graftgolds C64 games.

You know...I hate to say it. But I've been looking through the 7800's library and - nothing is really jumping out at me.Well certainly, the system and the games suck, just like the O2, the Intellivision, the Sega Master System, the 3DO, the Virtual Boy, the CD-i and many others...

-
Yup, it's backing a longer montage like scene (almost a music video) in the middle of the movie, a real highlight IMO.
I can really recommend watching this Tarantino direction, It's a lot better again than the abysmal Deathproof

I admit, the thought occured in our house as well, but in the end we decided against it, for the same reason why we don't buy a DSi. Basically we figured that we don't even have enough money to buy all the Wii games we want, so we'd just end up owning two consoles we can't afford buying games for...Maybe in a year, as it seems Wii software I like is slowly drying up...

Unfortunately The Damned are avoiding Germany this year as well. It seems the dates were planned, but that leg of the tour got canceled. They're now just going down on the European west coast, visiting Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Spain.
Ah well, maybe next year!

My wife bought us a Basshunter CD last week, "Now you're gone - The Album" with 16 Tracks, including all the tunes I linked.
It's on very heavy rotation here

Here's already a short preview of his upoming new single:

With the Atari Paddles? That would totally work!Dogpatch was always on my list for a possible 2600 conversion. I even did a little tec-demo several years ago
I think I'd go into total controller mayhem and support everything: Paddles, joysticks, driving controllers, even the lightgun
Very fun review! I'd also like to see Manuel create a 2600 port of Dogpatch. Sadly though, he's taken to hanging around with a young hussy, instead.
Hehe... unfortunately I'm not even getting around to do that, lately. I see a long winter vacation coming though

-
Do you get to hear my current addiction "Basshunter" in the states?
Perfect happy-go-lucky Euro-Techno

Life Force is one of the few NES games i liked. I didn't know that it has six stages, i never got past the 3rd stage...
The third one is by far the hardest!
Too bad C64 fans only got an incomplete version, Salamander has only 4 levels and no animated ending.
It's still very good and the 4 levels it has (1-3, 6) are closer to the Arcade than the NES levels. Overall they couldn't really beat Konami doing their own game though

-
Great game
It's a good game, but Gradius > Life Force in my opinion

The final two levels I beat rather fast, so either I was getting warm or they were a bit easier than the others. At least we can celebrate the return of a real classic:

Yep. The good old spaceship-flying-away-from-exploding-planet ending!

Some future day the "Playing..." series may see another horizontal scrolling shmup in the form of "Armalyte", but first it'll continue with something else.

Some crazy guy once grabbed a pistol and fired it during one of their american gigs => http://freeradicalsounds.com/captain/sensible.htm
Maybe that's why they're avoiding Texas?

Slightly altered repost of the original entry.
I figured that the regular "Playing..." series progresses way too slow in regards of enjoying Interplays great games, so I decided to branch 'em out under the tag "Interplaying", where I can time warp through those gems as fast as I want
Interplaying will be very similar to "Playing...". As a little enhancement I'll provide some extra information about the games at the bottom of each entry, as you can see above.
Watch this space for "Neuromancer", the next game I'll be Interplaying!
