Lollipop Chainsaw

Another Platinum game down after spending quality time with Vanquish. It delivers fantastic action, just like Bayonetta, albeit unfortunately embedded in a quite thin and bland story.
Just ordered Anarchy Reigns to add even more Platinum to my collection

Just started into FFXIII. I wonder if I'll like it

Oh my. Probably one of the most boring games I played on the PS3, after 10 hours I just couldn't stand it anymore...
Right now I'm playing Vanquish which I love so far and I also started playing Hotline Miami, which strangely reminds me a lot of "Into the Eagle's Nest" from the C64

-
Ah, I love summer vacation! Time to finish some games from the shelf, like today with God of War III

Most of my playing time last month was dedicated to Darkstalkers. After giving up on Resurrection, I since completely finished Darkstalkers Chronicle! I beat every mode with every character having an ending, unlocking the "movie" selection completely. I also beat every single level in the "Tower" mode, thereby unlocking all 96 images in the image gallery

BTW: I love Darkstlakers - my favorite of Capcoms fighting universes. Count me in rooting for Darkstalkers 4 from now on

Capcom games beaten in 2013: Knights of the Round, The King of Dragons, Breath of Fire II, Mega Man X2, Captain Commando, Tower of Doom, Shadow Over Mystara, Street Fighter Alpha, Final Fight 3 & Darkstalkers Chronicle

Oh crap. That would suck. The gallery should really be static between games. If it's true, I hope they'll patch it at some point. An upcoming patch was announced just today, albeit no info yet regarding which things it'll tackle.
-
You can get more money in the levels by playing on hard.I read somewhere that the gallery will reset if you're starting a new game on another difficulty level, so I rather won't risk doing that. I'm pretty close right now anyway

Hi there!
Personally, of the games I actually played, my favorite would be Darkwing Duck. Since I can't find reasonably prized PAL B copies of Duck Tales 2 and Willow, I picked those though

Greetings,
Manuel

Meanwhile I'm down to the last 4 trophies. Right now I'm still finishing the two collect-a-thons ($10M and Art Gallery), but once that is settled all I still need to do are the playthroughs on Hard and Extreme

-
There's a cheat that enables it before you finish it if you're interested. When the Capcom logo appears, enter Down, R, Up, L, Y, and B or their Sony/Microsoft equivalents and you will hear a chime.Oh, I can wait, no problem

BTW: One of the secret trophies unlocks for taking a gold bath

-
Just noticed there's an option for the original 8-bit music! SWEET!!
An unlock for finishing I assume, as I don't see that yet.
-
I managed to download and install it onto the PS3 last night, but it refused to launch before midnight.
I'm not sure if we get/got any pre-order bonus in Germany other than a 10% reduced price. Is the Duck Tales Theme a separate free download or should it come with the pre-ordered game already?
EDIT: Just played through the remastered Amazonas stage - they did a pretty good job on that one!

-
Hmmm... Wondering if the Wii Netflix will get updated with the new profiles feature? Probably not. :-(We got a Wii channel for amazons Lovefilm only two weeks ago, so they are still working on this kind of things.

I think Capcom sent out gold NES cartridge promo's to magazine\game sites:Us unwashed masses only get an empty box with a download code

42. Demon's Crest - SNES (rom)Blasted thru this in similar fashion to my last game, this time I succumbed to a rom, because the cart is so expensive. That said, while this is pretty fun & challenging game, I'm not totally convinced that I need to own it.
I had a good time, but I am reasonably sure I can live without a physical copy of this game.
For the going rate of 250-300 Euro per copy I can easily live without one as well, but for 30-40 I'd immediately get one

Well, here's some hope that it gets a VC release some day. Or Rearmed or Remastered. Well, I can dream, no?

Hm... so apparently ~70% of the achievements is "Perform 5 insanely difficult combos with each character"...After struggling for a whole week with Pyrons combo challenges - which are considered a 2/10 difficulty by the pros
- I figured there must be more to live than helplessly pushing the same 20 button sequence over and over again whilst praying for a miracle...This package is definitely for highly professional Darkstalkers players only. I don't even bother to try playing it online and just accept defeat. Too bad you can't get your money back if you didn't like a PSN game, I'd immediately go for that option.
Meanwhile I dug out my copy of PSP Darkstalkers, continuing playing there - the actual game I really like - in fact I think Darkstalkers is my favourite of Capcoms fighting brands. If you asked me, instead of pissing people off with Resurrection they should've just made DS4 with the SFIV engine...
-
I must admit that they've won me over by now, I'll definitely give this a try next week

Just bought Double Dragon Neon after trying the demo

Crackdown? In Germany it seems we'd currently get Shadowrun, so I'll probably pass and wait another 2 weeks before going gold.
BTW: One should be able to get three games for a single month subscription, if started in the middle of the 14 days interval, no?

On top of that it said "service temporary unavailable" for replays whenever I tried connecting this whole weekend.

Considering the upcoming Activision lineup, I'd wish they'd rather ignore the Wii U as well:
- Angry Birds Trilogy (Release: 13.08.13)
- Skylanders Swap Force (Release: 13.10.13)
- Angry Birds Star Wars (Release: 29.10.13)
- SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge (Release: Fall 2013)

Hm... there's at least 2 achievements forcing me into 'gold' again: "Win 10 ranked matches" obviously and then the one requiring YT uploads as well I think - at least I don't see an option to record a single player game.
-
Awesome. Was thinking about grabbing this on Steam!Limbo is quite short, approx. three hours, but IMO well worth the experience

Catching up on Grasshopper games, I just played through Lollipop Chainsaw. Considering previous Grasshopper games it felt somewhat easier, but no less entertaining
Waiting for the price-drop of Killer is Dead now
