    During the past week I played through Final Fight 3 (Virtual Console) with all 4 characters on the 'extreme' difficulty level :)

     

    Sidenote: Once you've experienced a Classic Controller Pro you can't go back to the original one...

    During the past week I played through Street Fighter Alpha (PS2 Anthology) with all 13 characters :)

    Progress Report: I've completed everything regarding Tower of Doom by now - all challenges, all treasures. And I've played through Shadow over Mystara once with each character. There I'm down to 5 or 6 remaining challenges and I'm at 86% of treasures.

     

    I think the challenges should be rather easy to complete, but completing treasures might become a tedious affair. The ones I'm still missing don't seem to be obtainable by random drops - I think they're hidden in secret places or only dropped when meeting certain in-game conditions.

     

    EDIT: Just learned that the thief can also steal treasure from enemies, so I should probably do an extra run with her next :D

    Nintendo must have deleted mine because the last time I booted the system up, there was no Weather Channel, News Channel, or Everybody Votes Channel icons on the main menu.

     

    The only channel icon remaining that didn't work and that *I* had to physically delete was the Nintendo Channel. I did so by going into Settings - Data Management - Channels - System (not SD card) and deleted it.

     

     

    The DLC channels I can delete just like before, it's the preinstalled ones that I'd like to get rid of - they're not listed in the menu you mentioned. I had them moved to the 4th menu page once I figured how to move channels around, but they're still sitting there, non-functional.

    Phew... 9 credits did the trick, but it still took me yet another week to beat the game with Spiral. I got quite close 2-3 times, but still always lost in the end. Definitely the hardest regular character for me to win the game with. I wonder if she got some more *punch* in Marvel vs. Capcom 2? :)

     

    So, the only playable character left is Akuma. Inputting the code for him seems a bit random in outcome, about 3 out of 4 times I end up with the Silver Samurai. :ponder:

    Just finished Interplays "Frankenstein - Through the Eyes of the Monster"... a truly horrible game. I can't remember when I last played through such a pile of trash :lolblue:

     

    (Funny technical tidbit: For this game I had to install Quicktime 2(!) on my Windows 7 PC - and it just worked! :o)

    Kinda weird train of thought. I assume the consequence of locking out used games will be, that the consumers are focusing their money on quality games with very long playing time and huge replay value. Amazingly, producing exactly this kind of games is why Nintendo actually does *not* need to lock out used games :D

     

    Reggie Fils-Aime:

    We have been able to step back and say that we are not taking any technological means to impact trade-in and we are confident that if we build great content, then the consumer will not want to trade in our games.

     

    So if you want to see a positive aspect in Microsofts actions: It will enforce the development of better games ;)

    I think Capcom does a somewhat respectable job on the 3DS so far, I just though it was quite lame to not include the "Arcade" roster to SFIV 3DS, hence forced to choose I'd rather get it for the 360. I also don't get why the Lost Planet game didn't see a western release or why Phoenix Wright must be download only, but compared to the Vita is the 3DS any Capcom Fans Dream Machine! Mega Man 6 in Europe, I still can't believe it! :D
