I played this back in the day on the PS1 and remember my nephew kicking my ass with Cyclops. Great game. Dont think it works on the PS2 or PS3 though.....I'm actually playing it on a PS2 Slim

-
I assume the bonus games are Vulgus (which is quite obviously missing) and 1943 Kai, which'd look kinda weird to sell separately from 1943.There you go, today they got confirmed

-
Oh the miracle of deadlines! I just beat Magneto with Wolverine in what was supposed to be my very last try

BTW: I find it very cool that Wolverine can fight against the Silver Samurai in this game - gets me hyped for the upcoming movie!

I haven't played this game since the Sega Saturn days - I rented it. Wasn't it the start of all the great Capcom/Marvel 2D fighters? Anyway, I've been turning down the difficulty notches on games for years. No shame!Yeah, it was the first one-on-one fighter Capcom did featuring Marvel chars
So, the game has an "Auto-blocking" feature? I can't remember. Regardless, that's no way to play -keep on "manual blocking" !I don't know if that's a specialty of the Playstation version, but I also thought that it's quite lame to play with that activated. It's a quite prominent option though, you have to choose between 'automatic' and 'manual' before every single fight.
It was great, but I haven't played it since I got the X-Men Vs Street Fighter port imported on my SS. Who plays these things on PS? Get a Saturn! Far better home ports on the Sega for Capcom fighters. I still break out Alpha and Darkstalkers for a quick round. The PS actually had pretty good/comparable to the Saturn version ports of CotA and Marvel Superheroes (likewise Street Fighter Alpha 3). It was the VS series that sorta blew on the PlayStation.I actually considered buying a Saturn, but all (5 or 6) Capcom games that made it to Europe are available on the Playstation as well, so I thought it wasn't worth it. CotA in particular had neither version ported by Capcom themselves, so it doesn't really matter I thought. I must say it looks quite lazy though, e.g. it seems they basically filmed the intro and the ending from the Arcade, as on my HD they show significantly lower quality (compression artifacts) as the actual game...
I have better versions of most of the other games you guys mentioned though: MvC Origins and Darkstalkers Resurrection on XBLA and Street Fighter Alpha Anthology for the PS2

Hi there!
This is a hard as nails game that's keeping me busy for over two months now already

I think it took me almost 4 weeks of daily practise to beat the game the first time with Storm, then I needed a week each for mastering it with Iceman, Cyclops and Colossus. Currently I'm in the third week already playing with Wolverine...
Mind you, all played on "default" difficulty with manual blocking so far. I think Wolverine might be a turning point now: I set up a deadline until Sunday - Should I not be able to beat Magneto over the weekend, I decided to give in and turn down the difficulty a notch

Last time I had to do something that desperate for my Capcom run was when I upped the # of starting lifes (5 -> 7 IIRC) in order to 1CC SonSon Arcade...
Greetings,
Manuel

A couple of days ago already I beat Puzzle Quest for the PSP

-
Am thoroughly enjoying it so far, haven't been around to play much though. Initial impression is that the music alone really got me into the Saturn feel. But of course....badly miss the six-button Street Fighter style controller. Thinking hard about getting one for my 360 for this and for SF3: 3rd strike.
I can recommend the original SFIV Fightpads from MadCatz. Their current production run (I think SFxT branded) is approx. 30% smaller and I prefer holding the bigger ones in my paws

Otherwise I still didn't start into the game, since I'm currently still playing "X-Men: Children of the Atom" and don't want to mess up my skills before I've beaten it with all characters

Heh, not a damn thing Disney can do about that franchise Cybergoth.
That is up to Capcom alone.Oh, I thought you were with WayForward, not Disney

-
Yeah. I'll.. "pester" the uppers at my employer to see if we can't get some more stuff from Capcom remastered by WayForward..
While you're at it, tell them about Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts 2!

:lolblue:
I hope it sells well, so they will remake Duck Tales 2 also. (This one I already have for the NES, but I'll definitely buy the sequel

I almost put Mega Man on my 'needs to die' list. Capcom generally puts out one mega man game, then clones it 4-8 times that same generation. 'Mega Man Battle Network 6 Super White Challenger Edition' 'Mega Man Zero 4.5 Pink Rhino Special'Well, if he wasn't already dead, Mega Man would be on my "needs to die" list as well

Resurrection:
Magic Carpet
Onimusha
Paradroid
Ghosts 'n Goblins / Gargoyles Quest / Demons Crest
H.E.R.O.
Breath of Fire
Tie Fighter
Zack & Wiki
Bully
Last Ninja

There's currently another hot rumour circulating that Capcom may also announce something Strider related for XBLA this weekend:

I am making a guess with the next xbox, but Sony has already said no BC for the PS4.Oh, I didn't know that the PS4 will be generally incompatible. But on the XBOX it shouldn't be a problem I think, that would basically be just like an upgrade from one PC to another, no?
All plain theory though, practically I don't ever give a working console away, so I can just play it on the PS3 for years to come

-
Too bad you won't be able to play then on your PS4/next xbox. Why would you think that? Just wondering, it seems for example that Wiiware can easily get transfered from Wii to WiiU.

Hi there!
This just came in: http://www.siliconera.com/2013/03/15/dungeons-dragons-shadow-over-mystara-tower-of-doom-are-coming-to-ps3-and-xbox-360/

Okay, so I 100% completed Flower, Sun and Rain now!

BTW: I don't recommend playing it, not even for Suda51 fans

-
Well, theoretically I have beaten Flower, Sun and Rain now, practically the 3DS is still lying under a stack of books so that I can get 100% completion for the game. It is required that the player makes 510.000 steps within the game to fully unlock everything, so I assume I'll have to have it running for at least another 30 hours. The books keep pressing the dpad, so the game can play itself to completion without wasting any more of my time

Jeez, am I the only one finishing games around here? LOL!I hit a bit of a road block with "X-Men - Children of the Atom". I think I needed ~4 weeks to finish it with Storm once and I'm now struggling at Magneto again with Iceman, so it may take a while until I have finished that one with all 12 chars

I'm at 75% in "Flower, Sun & Rain" though, so that one should come soon.

Also wouldn't shock me if you buy everything across all ten packs that you get a few additional extra games. 34 is just two shy of everything from those two console collections minus all the Street Fighter games and the SuperNes game Super Ghouls'n Ghost (I could see this and the original Street Fighter also being included but suspect Cybergoth is right that the SF2 content won't be included). Seems odd to rerelease so much of this and stop just shy of the end.Just guessing here. SGNG is not an arcade machine and why put out another 4 inferior SFII variants when there's HD Remix available. Same Reasons for Magic Sword and Final Fight, that'd be just plain redundant with Double Impact ready to go.
I assume the bonus games are Vulgus (which is quite obviously missing) and 1943 Kai, which'd look kinda weird to sell separately from 1943.
-
I was actually shocked at the pricing. I had to post a comment.I also posted a couple, even though I know it doesn't help it. Only thing that helps is not buying it.
-
The official announcement: http://www.capcom-un...tes-and-pricing
£3.20/$4/€4 for 1 game, £8/$10/€10 for 3 games, or £24/$30/€30 for 17 games and a ridiculous lineup - That's it, I'm not buying it.
-
With that lineup and plenty left from the 80's that they've rereleased in those two last gen compilations to continue selecting from, I think it's all but a sure thing that we won't be getting anything new.Yeah, The PS2 collections had 42 games altogether. There's a couple on them they probably won't use for Arcade Cabinet like all the Street Fighter II variants, Final Fight & Magic Sword and Super G'n'G, but the ones remaining still make more than 30 games.

X-Men - Children of the Atom (PS)

Hm... I'm playing the PAL version on a PAL console, that might make a difference. I didn't try it on the PS3 yet, since I don't have a Fightpad for it.
On a sidenote I just beat the game with Psylocke. Compared to Wolverine that was a cakewalk. I think from the 6 "good" characters she's the best by a mile - at least in solo Arcade mode
Next I'll play with Omega Red, I hope he's as fun to play as it looks.
