  1. Hm... there's at least 2 achievements forcing me into 'gold' again: "Win 10 ranked matches" obviously and then the one requiring YT uploads as well I think - at least I don't see an option to record a single player game.
  2. Limbo is quite short, approx. three hours, but IMO well worth the experience
  3. Oh and just before bedtime I finally completed Limbo on the PS3 as well
  4. When I fired it up today, it installed the second patch already, so it should probably be save to start playing it now
  5. During the past week I played through Final Fight 3 (Virtual Console) with all 4 characters on the 'extreme' difficulty level Sidenote: Once you've experienced a Classic Controller Pro you can't go back to the original one... Capcom games beaten in 2013: Knights of the Round, The King of Dragons, Breath of Fire II, Mega Man X2, Captain Commando, Tower of Doom, Shadow Over Mystara, Street Fighter Alpha & Final Fight 3
  6. Hi there! Looking good, albeit digital only... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jMwcJI0pEg Greetings, Manuel
  7. During the past week I played through Street Fighter Alpha (PS2 Anthology) with all 13 characters Capcom games beaten in 2013: Knights of the Round, The King of Dragons, Breath of Fire II, Mega Man X2, Captain Commando, Tower of Doom, Shadow Over Mystara & Street Fighter Alpha
  8. Must be those unwashed masses I've heard of. I thought that whole industry exists just to entertain me
  9. Capcom did a step in the right direction yesterday: http://www.nintendol..._reorganisation The more they shrink the U.S. office the better. Besides, having no EA, Ubi and Actistuff on the Wii U is good news if you asked me, considering all the trash they dumped onto the Wii...
  10. It's been quite some time, but finally I beat two more Capcom games today Capcom games beaten in 2013: Knights of the Round, The King of Dragons, Breath of Fire II, Mega Man X2, Captain Commando, Tower of Doom & Shadow Over Mystara
  11. Just scored the final trophy FYI: It's a little glitched, I had to start a new game with the last character I played for it to register.
  12. Progress Report: I've completed everything regarding Tower of Doom by now - all challenges, all treasures. And I've played through Shadow over Mystara once with each character. There I'm down to 5 or 6 remaining challenges and I'm at 86% of treasures. I think the challenges should be rather easy to complete, but completing treasures might become a tedious affair. The ones I'm still missing don't seem to be obtainable by random drops - I think they're hidden in secret places or only dropped when meeting certain in-game conditions. EDIT: Just learned that the thief can also steal treasure from enemies, so I should probably do an extra run with her next
  13. The DLC channels I can delete just like before, it's the preinstalled ones that I'd like to get rid of - they're not listed in the menu you mentioned. I had them moved to the 4th menu page once I figured how to move channels around, but they're still sitting there, non-functional.
  14. I don't see how. Could you possibly provide click-by-click instructions for removing the Weather channel for example?
  15. Entering the Top 10 after scoring the #12 trophy! I think I should try reading the manual for completing some of the remaining challenges, there's several I don't even know the required moves for
  16. Does Nintendo at least delete or offer an option to remove all those dead channels from the UI?
  17. At least if Bioware survives that. EA I will hate forever.
  18. Hey hey, my daughters and I only ran twice through "Tower of Doom" so far, but that already granted us spot #17 on PS3 Trophies! http://ps3trophies.com/gameleaderboard/04346-dungeons-and-dragons-chronicles-of-mystara

    Here I blog again?

It's kind of forcing myself to artificially play games like I did as a child. Back then I got only 1-2 new games per quarter, so I knew all of them inside out, every trick every secret, everything. Todays games often are much more like fast-food snacks compared to a childhood summer spent with a Zelda game. And I really learn to appreciate some games like e.g. Mega Man or Street Fighter II, which I never had much interest in ever before. I'm actually even reading the manuals

    Here I blog again?

It's actually been a lot more fun than it sounds, Capcom were brilliant game designers, at least in their first decade on the market BTW: Since my firstborn is in school already, I recently asked my wife if it would make sense to start game programming again. She answered I should ask again in another 6 years...
  21. Phew... 9 credits did the trick, but it still took me yet another week to beat the game with Spiral. I got quite close 2-3 times, but still always lost in the end. Definitely the hardest regular character for me to win the game with. I wonder if she got some more *punch* in Marvel vs. Capcom 2? So, the only playable character left is Akuma. Inputting the code for him seems a bit random in outcome, about 3 out of 4 times I end up with the Silver Samurai.
  22. BTW: This 30 seconds from the first movie is THE BEST ACTION SCENE I've seen in a decade: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYBM8VsxHEg
  23. You should definitely go and see RED. It's the best movie nobody else has seen, I promise If you don't mind a trailer for the sequel, around 2:00 you can see Helen Mirren performing a "Hulk Smash"! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcVkavITnAI
  24. Just finished Interplays "Frankenstein - Through the Eyes of the Monster"... a truly horrible game. I can't remember when I last played through such a pile of trash (Funny technical tidbit: For this game I had to install Quicktime 2(!) on my Windows 7 PC - and it just worked! )
