Huhu!

Epyx Shrine update: Advertisment Scans!
Cybergoth replied to Cybergoth's topic in Classic Console Discussion
*bump* Hi there, I just uploaded another 6 scans with Epyx advertisments, this time from Zzzap64 magazine. If you find some that I'm missing like in ANTIC or ST magazines or some ads for Lynx games in other video game mags, please let me know. Greetings, Manuel -
Hi there! I just wanted to thank you all for the thumbs up so far! @Glenn: You're absolutely right, about Star Fire being a way too complicated *first*. In retrospective it seems like it was a very good move to put it on ice back then and do Gunfight instead. Without that learning experience, I'd probably given up on Star Fire long ago. (Actually I really was about to give up a few times and it always was either Thomas or [stella] motivating and encouraging me to carry on ) To give proper credits, that part was programmed by Thomas That's not the real gameplay yet. At the moment I've just some timers running for the shield, so the decreasing shield, the distorted radar and the following crash are just demoed. Greetings, Manuel

Hi there! So then I'm suggesting that you tell us the desired target machine and the programming languague you're wanting to use. Greetings, Manuel

Hi there! *bump* Since I'm soon gonna order "A-Team" from Hozer, I'd love to get the most advanced version of the game. So I wonder wether the "Pizza Delivery Boys" variant is publically available? I'd even offer to do a NTSC->PAL conversion, if required. Greetings, Manuel

Huhu! Hier ist mein "A & B" PAL(!) Wunschzettel (lose reicht): Adventures on GX-12 Alien Astroblast Bank Heist Beamrider Bermuda Triangle Boing Und hier sind "A & B" Spiele (Meist PAL, ggfs. bitte nachfragen), die ich zum Tauschen dafür hergeben würde: Lose: 3D-Tic-Tac-Toe Adventure Air-Sea-Battle Alien's Return Assault Amidar Blackjack Basketball Bump'n'Jump Breakout Berzerk Brain Games Bowling Basic Programming Backgammon Boxing Barnstorming Boxed: A Game of Concentration Alpha Beam With Ernie (Eingeschweisst!) Big Bird's Egg Catch (Eingeschweisst!) ---> Bei Interesse an irgendeinem Tausch bitte melden! So, das war's schon, bis Samstag, Manuel

Hi there! No, we won't answer that, since this was already answered a hundred times before. Just by looking at the first page of this "Programming" Forum I can spot 3 other threads dealing with that matter, so the answer is already there. Greetings, Manuel

Hi Marco! Is this still available? Will you bring it to FfM on saturday? Greetings, Manuel

Gunfight 2. Player problem. Can't move or only very hard.
Cybergoth replied to MattyXB's topic in Atari 2600
Hi there! So, here's the new NTSC http://home.arcor.de/cybergoth/xype/gunntsc.bin and PAL http://home.arcor.de/cybergoth/xype/gunpal.bin binaries for Gunfight. They fix the bug Matty found and to my best knowledge, the rest of the game should work as good as before. I will have these two BINs available for two weeks here for everyone to try & test and if there's no more bug-reports in this time, I'll permanently replace the current production BINs with these new. Greetings, Manuel -
Hi there! On German GBA sites rumours spread saying that Nintendo canceled "Western" versions of Fire Emblem & Magical Vacation. Can any of you verify this? Damn Nintendo in case! These have been the titles I've been waiting the whole year for. What do I get instead? DBZ, Game & Watch Gallery 4 and yet another 200 licensed crap titles... Imagine this, so far we don't even have "Tactics Ogre" available over here ! Greetings, Manuel

Gunfight 2. Player problem. Can't move or only very hard.
Cybergoth replied to MattyXB's topic in Atari 2600
Hi Matty! Thanks, I already found it. Really a silly bug and definetely only striking in the 2-player with six-shooter mode. Too bad it escaped all the testing back then. I'll test the new version some more and then make updated binaries available, hopefully tomorrow. Thanks for reporting. Maybe you should do the beta-testing for my next game Greetings, Manuel -
Gunfight 2. Player problem. Can't move or only very hard.
Cybergoth replied to MattyXB's topic in Atari 2600
Hi Matty! Scary, it's availbale for almost a year now, and no one ever reported that bug. I can verify it with my own cartridge and Z26, too. It seems like the AI is partially kicking in, since you _can_ grab the ammunition box, only you are not able to freely move anymore, until you picked it. Hm... I'll have a look at it and if I manage to fix it, I'll provide updated binaries for Hozer, so that any future cartridges will be made without this bug. Greetings, Manuel -
Hi there! Ooops, that sounded sarcastic? It was intended to sound joking He got shot in the back, you know Greetings, Manuel
-
Hi there! Maybe it's just me, but I'm getting more fun out of the game in "B" mode - that is without constantly getting killed by an unavoidable ultra-fast shot in the back. Well and since per chance I am the person that has to enjoy the games I play, I decided too prefer "B". Hope you can live with that Billy the Kid would agree too, I'm sure Greetings, Manuel
-
Hi there! Which variant did you play? 1B? I can roll that too! At the moment I'm trying to roll 4B for a challenge. Peaking at 30K at the moment. Once I rolled that, I'll go for 32B Anyone else thinking that the "A" variants are just unfair? Greetings, Manuel
-
Hi Albert! Thanks for this ultra-quick reaction! BTW: I am very positive at the moment, that I get Star Fire completed within the next 6 weeks, so if you like, you can change the "TBA" on the Star Fire development page to "X-Mas 2002" Greetings, Manuel

Hi there! I've two reasons for giving this feedback: First I wanted to thank you for finally establishing a own company ID for Xype. I'm very happy about this. Thank you! (http://www.atariage.com/company_page.html?...l?CompanyID=203) Second, there's two little flaws. - Any search for "Xype" in the AA database will come up empty. - The Synthcart and Testcard from Paul Slocum are no Xype releases. People may get confused about this. These are excellent products, nothing wrong with them at all, but Xype is a pure games range. Maybe you could just link from the Xype page to these products, but change their database tag from "Xype" to "Paul Slocum"? Greetings, Manuel

Hi there! Sensation is perfect! I just uploaded the original Apple 2 / 6502 source-codes for Impossible Mission 2 and Spider-Bot! It is not possible to generate the games out of these though, since the data files are missing. Greetings, Manuel

Hi there! If I understood what you said, then even though any NDA probably expired years ago, the source might still be copyrighted, thus making it available to the public would violate this copyright. Ok, so I'm gonna speak with the copyright holder. BTW: Epyx is owned by a company called "Alpha Omega Publications", not Infrogrames. Greetings, Manuel
-
Hi there! Please help me with these questions: Assuming I was offered the original source of an Epyx game, could publishing this online possibly cause any severe legal troubles for me or the author? How long is an NDA valid? Is an NDA still valid, after the company who requested it was bought by another comapny? Are there exceptions like publishing 15+ year old sources for "studying purposes" only? Greetings, Manuel
