My supplier just hit me with some BAD news, he's out and just shipped 2 pallets overseas to a buyer who paid A PREMIUM PRICE. They are drying up, I hope ATARI at least continues controller production.

I have seen them go for more, remember the sales & prices on fleabay slow down during this time

I agree the summer always drops off the ATARI numbers have been low, it also depends on what day and time of listings as well. I didn't see the dip in sales like last March/April, some for systems but the FLASHBACK 2's and JOYSTICK sales have been on FIRE. At least for me.

Though I understand the reason for that, ugh. It bugs me to see stuff like that in an auction for some reason and it makes me hesitant to bid. One thing that will absolutely keep me from bidding is when the auction description states something like "I won't give you positive feedback until after you give me positive feedback" or similar silliness. I have 100% feedback so far, but I don't have any idea if everyone I've bought from has given me feedback. I give honest feedback and expect the same. All of that "feedback hostage" nonsense annoys me to the point where I won't bid when I see that regardless how great the deal is. It makes me think I'm dealing with someone who is manipulative and not entirely above board. I probably don't like this stuff because I try to be on the opposite end of the continuum from the problem customers that we hear so much about in forums like this. I want sellers to treat me with respect and fairness and I try my best to them the same way. I try to pay immediately upon close of auction if possible and if I'm not at my computer then, I pay as soon as I see the end of auction/you've won! notice in my mailbox. I've actually paid $5.00 for an auction that I won for $.99. The guy was friendly, helpful and willing to go out of his way to ship using my shipper number to save me a ton of money on freight. I saw no reason not to pass on a part of the savings to him. Another guy notified me that he had shipped my product and incidentally mentioned that he'd underestimated the shipping charges because he thought that it would fit in a flat rate box, but it didn't. He informed me of this *after* he shipped it. He lived up to the deal we made and took the hit on the shipping charges. Because he did business with integrity, hadn't padded the shipping originally and didn't insist or even ask for more money, I sent him half of the additional shipping charges that he had incurred, once I found out what the total freight charges were. On the other hand, I won an auction where the seller's stated shipping charges, (which included a $1.00 handling fee) ended up being understimated by $1.00 and they invoiced me for the additional $1.00. I paid the extra dollar (but was not nearly as happy about paying that as I was to pay extra to the other two guys.) Got any stories about exceptionally good customers? Yeah I have this guy BIG O... I had to throw that one back to you... LOL
