I was doing some cleaning in my WIP folder and I rediscovered this game. Pure awesomeness.

Awesome Andrew!

I would love Bruce Lee on Atari 2600. It's a game designed considering A8 specs (two sprites for Bruce Lee, two sprites for Yamo, one sprite for ninja = 5 A8 sprites). Nowadays a lot of homebrew games use DPC+ CDFJ+, the most popular multicart supports it, emulators too. Therefore I would use it. But it will be up to the programmer to decide. Only my two cents because I would love a state of the art conversion.

Please make a PAL60 version (NTSC with colors adjusted). Most European TVs support PAL60. -
Best graphic mode for a vertical shoot'em up?
Philsan replied to JimTK's topic in Atari 5200 / 8-bit Programming
AtariBlast! by @playsoft uses various graphic modes and vertical and horizontal scrolling. It's a 1024KB game but cartridge version runs on 64KB machines. Nowadays many people have multicarts or memory expansions therefore you aren't limited to 64 KB. The Last Squadron and AtariBlast! are among the best A8 scrolling shooters, I think it's not possible to do better. Therefore I would examine them to design your game. -

Perhaps The Last Squadron coder @shanti77 could answer your question. -

I mentioned your demo on twitter, Mastodon and Facebook but back then I didn't have mp32-pi and I completely forgot about it... Now I will run your demo on real hardware, thanks!

Success! I bought MP32L https://www.serdashop.com/MP32L (+ MIDI cable), added Raspberry PI 3 model B and printed the case. Old and new games (SCUMM-ST) work.

Thanks! I searched with "Sophia 2".

Could you please share the link? I don't find the file on Thingiverse.

Another solderless solution would be AVGCart. It's an universal loading device that adds up to 1MB RAM (perhaps a little bit less on the 600XL because it'a a 16KB machine).

Hyper Sports port to the Atari ST

Nowadays many people load software from modern devices that emulate hard disks, like Ultrasatan. An hard disk version would be welcome. Thanks! -
@MrFish your mock-ups are gorgeous. Regarding high resolution, someone is using it on Sensible Soccer ZX Spectrum's conversion (the only news about it are on coder's account on Twitter).

Speaking the same language is useful but, for example, there are a many A8 games and demos from Polish and Czech scene. -

Generally it depends on machines sold, active user base and their interests. Sometimes a bit of luck helps too. If by chance there's someone with skills, passion and a lot of free time who loves a machine, then you'll get many productions for it. -

I like the humor of the game. How do you save a game? -
