Robert Ramsay yesterday released a beautiful oil pastels on pastel paper image dedicated to IK+. Here is a 55 colors conversion for A8. Not bad! It would be a nice intro screen for International Karate+ work in progress. Philsan_IK+_RobertRamsay.xex

If I press F7 on my Notepad++ (installed in C/Programs) nothing happens. I have to use the old version of N++ inside Turban.w10 folder. What should I do to let work my N++?

MadStudio supports FastBasic editing and compiling/running too.

Awesome... as usual! -
Without annoying jingle (thanks Wilheim) and with TIX's upcoming improved graphics... it's time to complete the game.
-
It was one of my first A8 games too! Best versions of games are here as usual, unfortunately with the dreaded death jingle...

Name of newer (~ 3-5 years?) Scrolling RPG Game?

I think you are searching His Dark Majesty. Unfortunately the beautiful website dedicated to this game seems down. Anyway, you can download it from various sources, for example here: http://a8.fandal.cz/detail.php?files_id=6198 -

I know that list and I find it useful too. It's not an easy task to compile such a list for A8. For example, which is the best graphic program? There are plenty of them, for different graphics modes, with strenghts and weaknesses. Anyway, a thread could be opened to gather informations about categories and software. -

Two good sector copiers are Copymate (you need 128KB RAM) and the new MILF. Copymate XE (128).atr MILF (2020)(Dely).atr -
As written by Eyvind, you'll find the first program (Colormap.com) inside Altirra Additions.atr disk. I attach the second program. Atari Control Picture (2015)(Mad Team)(PAL).xex

I am a fan of VRW too. I was talking about VRWSafe. If you read my previous post, you'll see I already agreed with Avery's decision. Previously I agreed with him when he accepted another proposal of mine and I agreed when he didn't accept another one as well. It is clear that I "accept the way thing works". I only politely and humbly asked a question.

If someone formats a disk, he only gets an error. If someone runs a protected disk, it may be deleted. Therefore the default setting is the safer setting. Thanks!
-
Obviously I know you can choose default write mode in Tools/options/media. I changed that option to fix my format issue... I meant Altirra's initial default setting. I already asked Avery to change some default settings and he changed them, whenever he found it was a good idea.
-
Yes, but I don't think that the average user loads protected disks that format themselves. On the other hand, the average user doesn't format disks too... Therefore, I don't know which option should be the default option.
-
Hi Avery. Yesterday I had a problem formatting a disk with the new awesome LiteDOS 3. I've always had an error until I discovered that I had to switch Altirra's default VRWSafe mode to VRW. "This mode is "similar to virtual read/write, except that format commands are blocked with a read-only disk error. This allows virtualized write access to disks while still blocking writes for programs that attempt to format their disk on boot as part of a protection check. Altirra defaults to this mode until changed in Options" (excerpt from Altirra's manual). I never had that problem before because I never formatted a disk from emulator, I always used blank images or PC tools. I think that VRW should be the default option but surely there must be a reason why you chose VRWSafe. BTW, it would be nice if you'll support LiteDos 3 in disk explorer. Thanks!

Awesome Paul! That's a good use of one of VCS strenghts, 128 colors. Considered the fact A8 has 128 colors too and 16 shades of color in one graphic mode, I would love an A8 conversion.
