This design reminds me something... Atari 800XL. Perhaps it isn't the best netbook now available but with Atari logo I'd buy it. http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10029963-1.html

If someone can help with testing and debugging, we'll make it work. The development of this thing should be a group effort, using these forums, so as to satisfy the whole group. Thanks. I think it's important to support TBXL to let simple Atari programmers use your device. Advanced programmers will surely have no problems using it with machine language.

In this moment, 135 downloads! Simple members or Atari programmers?

Yes, only 4 soft sprites and other limitations. To do a not stripped down version, A8 would have needed a programmer like Heaven/TQA (he is developing a good soft sprites routine for its Beyond Evil game)! -

I don't know if someone really started an Atari version of Garry Kitchen's GameMaker: http://www.mts.net/~kbagnall/commodore/gamemaker/info.html It would have been difficult to have 8 multicolor or high resolution sprites without a very very good programmer. Unfortunately A8 doesn't have also Shoot'Em-Up Construction Kit (SEUCK). -
My favourite old topic..Any news on Atari800win Plus?
Philsan replied to Mclaneinc's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Have you seen the new 2.0 version of Vice (July 25)? http://www.viceteam.org/ It is possible to paste text into the emulated machine simply pressing right mouse button. I hope someone will continue to develop Atari800WinPlus. -
Atari Falcon I am an Amiga fan but this machine is very interesting.

I'd be interested in learning about your weather station -- software, hardware, etc. Maybe you could start another topic describing the system? I'd love to have another use for my A8. I am interested too. Perhaps you use AtariLab's hardware?

I have one of the last XE. I have opened it and I've found these chips: Motorola 68000, Agnus, Paula and Denise.

No, unfortunately, otherwise an image would be present on the net. -
Yes, we are very interested!

The absolute worst game(s) you played/bought for the A8

Really? H.E.R.O. is one of the best games! -

When I have read the first titles I have tought: Beyond Evil has corrupted Heaven's mind! I have to say that Atari Tennis has stolen your time but it was only an average tennis game (and unfortunately the only for A8 ). -
I think not less than $100. Yes, I think it's illegal!

What A8 equipment are you still desperate for?

XC1411 monitor. -
Atari single line resolution players (or multicolor soft sprites) move by one pixel in vertical direction and by two pixels (one 2 pixel wide pixel) in horizontal direction. So vertical movement is slower than horizontal. What is the best solution, make horizontal movement slower or move in vertical direction by two pixels instead of one?
