Why don't you install XP?

Awesome!

Goochman removed the picture I was talking about..Ah, I haven't seen that picture and I have thought your strange post was ironic!

Isn't this supposed to be a "family friendly" forum?I hope noones children were watching when they read that post..
Seriously, though, this thread -- the pictures, anyway -- is probably not appropriate for this forum. Hope no kids are checking in.
Well, I didn't think the mods would mind since the riskiest the picture has got is that she's just showing her stockings. I never thought of any kids being on here though.
I agree with Ross PK, I don't think his image is not appropriate for this forum.
Nowadays, unfortunately, not only on TV but also on the streets our kids may see many girls and children dressed (or undressed) in pornographics ways!

I have SIO2PC USB version and it works perfectly; you can also use APE (the software) with Windows Vista.
-
it proves it could be done on an Atari 8bit as well.Yes, we don't need 8 multicolor sprites or SID to render a page and the higher clock frequency of Atari could be useful.

Well back to games I do not have much for her right now and I need tp get a XF551 floppy drive.....I found them new in the box never used but they run $199.00 that way.... Anyways that what I have to get...Why don't you buy instead SIO2SD (a stand-alone solution storage solution) or SIO2PC (you have to connect a PC)?
These solutions both cost around $50.

Germany will win the Euro 08 and Blizzard announces D3 in Paris...Don't be too greedy!
Do you know that die Mannschaft resides in Ascona, about three Km away from where I live?

Happy birthday!
I am three years older...

Sean, I have read all your post so I already know what happened to your family.
Now I have read your 'About me' page and I have no words to communicate my feelings.
I am glad your daughter is doing well at school.
I think only faith and love for a child can help a person go on in a case like this.
Regards

Hi Sean.
I appreciate your efforts for your daughter.
In the future I will do the same with my daughter (I have programmed for her Cookie Monster).
But don't forget to let her use also today's computers!

I have just discovered a game called Vicky.looks very nice. scrolling or singlescreen platformer?
I am sorry, I have forgotten that the topic starter is searching a side-scrolling platformer.
Vicky is a single screen platformer.
Unfortunately I am not able to understand the long Polish introduction.

I have SIO2PC USB version (bought from AA user classics) and I am very satisfied (APE also works with Vista so no problems for the future - Vista apart
).I also use SIO2SD (bought from AA user Pigula) when I don't want to connect a PC and want a stand-alone solution.

No way, my american friend. This thread has been overtaken by something we call "Fussball" .. or like you would call it "Soccer"
To remain in topic, A8 doesn't have a good soccer game like International Soccer or Emlyn Hughes International Soccer.
We only have old 16K game Thorn Emi's Soccer.

Ciao Italy, viva Espania...
Italy **** (4 times World Cup Champion)

Now I will support Russia.

I don't fancy the coin behaviour either. Probably be better if they just maintained their position and faded away after a short delay.+1

It's not my favourite genre but this game is excellent, considering Plus4 limitations.
-
Here is Atarimania's Lunar Lander's genre games page:
http://www.atarimania.com/lst_soft-MENU-8-...ILLE_ID-28.html
My game isn't surely the best one but at least the name is original:
L.E.M. Lunar Excursion Module
Sound more plausible the 'Shredded Wheat' in my brother's Lunar Lander.
Available here.Seems very interesting.
Can you send me this game in another format (not .cas)?
My Atari800Win Plus 4.0 emulator crashes when I attach tape.
EDIT
To add more confusion to the mix, here's the Lunar Lander I did about 22 years ago http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft.php?...ERSION_ID=13848Very interesting too!
Instead of detritus or 'Shredded Wheat' your Moon has many asteroids!
-
Pretty cool - and nice job! The only complaint I have is that your ship really shouldn't crash with stars presumably lights years away just by passing in front of them.
With your post you make me remember that I was not very good in astronomy (and in mathematics too) when I was attending high school!
The pixels seems stars but in fact are detritus (line 490 REM TERRAIN AND DETRITUS).
Detritus over the Moon?

Before discovering Turbo-Basic XL and programming Cookie Monster, I have made a *simple* Lunar Lander game in Atari Basic called L.E.M.
EDIT
I attach version 1.1: it is identical to the original release but, thanks to Tezz, there is a new autoboot routine that doesn't display awful READY, POKE and RUN "D:...".
I also attach Antic magazine's program ("Autogo.bas") that creates an AUTORUN.SYS able to load whatever basic program you want.
EDIT 2
I attach version 1.2: it is identical to the original release but there is (another!) autoboot routine that displays "LOADING LEM.BAS"; I think it's the correct solution.
I attach ANALOG magazine's program ("RUNAUTO.BAS") that creates AUTORUN.SYS able to load whatever basic program you want.

eeePC & Atari Emulator

I too will buy something like eeePC, perhaps MSI Wind PC.
