What a coincidence. Yersterday I have played some VCS' games and I have found that in some respects are better than A8. For example, Ghostbusters' players of VCS' version, like C64, are multicolored.

Me too (in less than a minute). Looks fantastic though until it does! After ~30 seconds the game freezes but if you press start you can continue (.atr version + Atari800WinPlus4.0).

Like Heaven I am too old for those fanboy things. I know that A8 is a computer born 3 years before C64 so I can stand the fact that in some respects C64 is better. I also know that A8 in some respects is better than C64 but, although I am member of C64 forums, when I post there I don't write A8 is better for this, A8 is better for that. When we write in other people's forums we must be diplomatic.

Ah, yes, you can find them in the "emkay" folder, I have forgotten. Actually Atari title screen is better, thanks to Atari more colors. EDIT I have discovered that Emkay's pictures files names contain the origin of the port: DefenderOfTheCrown_ST_Emkay Barbarian_C64_Emkay So perhaps these images are a port of ST version. Emkay, where are you?

No. If you compare the first pictures, you'll see that the colors inside the letters are different. In the second pictures, behind the fire, in C64's version there are green and GREY pixels, in Emkey's version the pixels are green and BROWN. I think Emkay's pictures are Atari ports from C64 version of DOTC.

Oswald, perhaps I don't undertand what do you mean in post #11. What does "I love Retrojunk" image means? Anywaize, Emkay's 2 images are not taken from C64's version because the colors are different.

Better than Amiga! I think that perhaps Heaven's post link isn't specifically addressed at you.

Someone is working on the Intellivision version! http://knox.ac.free.fr/intv/dotc/ DOTC is only an average game. It is a milistone because at the time its graphics on Amiga were amazing.

I vote for a colorful - not interlaced graphic mode like this one together with a PC program able to do the conversions automatically.
