  1. I like very much Atarimania Top 100 pages, but there are the problems mentioned by @MrFish I do think too only registered users should be allowed to vote. Poor "revenge" votes would be still possible; perhaps reducing voting range (1-10) could help. Top 100 Downloads page is more faithful but obviously top 100 titles will continue to be the most downloaded because people will continually download them because they are in that page. I agree with @Guy1 that it would be interesting to see titles pas #100.
  2. I recorded a video that shows an example (Karateka) of the starting glitches that some games have and Homesoft removes, if possible. Karateka garbage.avi
  3. Some games shows some garbage at the start and Homesoft removes it. Here's what appears at the start of your version (for less than a second).
  4. Karateka.xex (128) is available on Homesoft, without starting glitches (as usual with Homesoft games). http://www.mushca.com/f/atari/index.php?idx=K
  5. Turbo-Basic XL (1985), faster, compatible with Atari Basic, compilable. If you program on PC (but works on Atari too), there's the awesome modern FastBasic. See at the end of this post:
  6. CTRL + W You can find documentation here: https://atari8bit.net/everything-sdrive-max/
  7. I am very sorry for your less, may he rest in peace, condoleances. What does it mean "Sadly when he was put in the home all that stopped as he wasn't allowed his lap top because he would throw stupp about including it". I am not sure I undertood correcty. He wasn't allowed to bring his laptop?
  8. Check out comparison table in Topic for newbies. Here's the short answer, for average users, without special needs or hardware add-ons: If you need to load ATR only games (download Homesoft collection with "Download all" button to find out which of the best games are ATR only) or applications, buy a SIO device (SIO2PC-USB if you have a nearby PC or an external SIO device if you want a stand-alone solution: SDrive-Max at the moment seems the best solution). If games on ATR format only aren't important for you, if you like fast or instant load, if you like to play some cartridge format games that otherwise would need a memory expansion, buy a multicart (AVGCart at the moment seems the best solution: cheaper, has a limited ATR compatibility and disk swap button - developer is working on adding full ATR compatibility).
  9. Please try the latest update. 🙏
  10. Will you release the cabinet too? 😄 I've noticed the high score screen. Eventually you could think about releasing a version using the AtariMax Maxflash rom format; then you could add high-score save feature (like Pac-Man 2012 or Space Harrier).
  11. Nice game too. It seem to work with both OSes. Do you know its release date? Atarimania and Fandal don't have this information. @miker ?
  12. Martin, I asked Homesoft to fix his version. Could you please check out if it's OK now?
  13. The mighty Homesoft kindly fixed The Flinstone's Adventure and Ghastly Night. Now they work on OS version 4 too.

  15. Hi Vic! 11 years has passed! I made a donation but unfortunately you raised not much money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. I am glad you're OK and you'll release your game.
  16. I think Andreas @CharlieChaplin will surely give us infos...
  17. In fact after voting I changed my mind, I would keep current version, therefore my vote is wrong.
  18. There's also Homesoft XEX version, with starting glitches (characters) removed as usual.
