  1. I already have the cart but took a shot at this complete auction tonight. Fell short. Congrats to whoever got it. Hope it was a fellow atariage member.
  2. Okay... just listed it again. Hopefully it works out this time. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F151053968998%3FssPageName%3DSTRK%3AMESELX%3AIT%26_trksid%3Dp3984.m1555.l2649
  3. Nice lot. I have all these boxed already, but I'm going to put a bid in anyway on pricinple alone. If I win, I could always use a backup system. Best of luck.
  4. Relisted at $40 and included international shipping this time. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FTunnel-Runner-Complete-in-Box-Atari-2600-R4-CIB-Boxed-Rare-%2F151040644441%3Fpt%3DVideo_Games_Games%26hash%3Ditem232ab95559
  5. Yes, I am the seller. Apologies in advance for any protocol breaches... after many many years of buying, this is actually my first time selling. I went through my collection this winter and am making it a goal this year to sell off duplicates. Tunnel Runner was just the first one I grabbed. Here's the rest I'm planning to sell over next few months...

  7. Put me down for a cart (preferably boxed) if you ever release it. I would think that after all the time spent on development and all the accolades from this post, you owe it to the game to finish it off with a CIB release... I'm just saying.
  8. Been out of AA for while but yes... my grails are the original games I bought with my paper route money back in the day and the same ones my brother and I played as kids. On holidays we sometimes break out the system and play them again... he still gets just as pissed when I beat him in basketball : ) Regarding the homebrews, I love em. My vote for a cool new game would be "Punkin Chuckin"... I'm headed out to Maryland this weekend to witness the carnage in first person.
  9. I scanned through my stuff, and a few of those you listed would definitly fill in some gaps for me. I know I have some extra AH, Bomb and others I could trade but haven't looked closely in years. I'm also willing to just buy games if it makes it easier. I might just have to update my site with pix of all the extra games I have, so that it is easier for people to scan through to see if there's something they want for trade. I'd for sure be interested in your: Fujistyle - Monstro Marino, Hot Shot - Galactic, Sancho - Exocet and Suntek - Galactic. Here's my collection: http://www.indianahoosier.com/Atari2600.html
  10. Come to Canada, Pang! All our money is turning into coins. 1 dollar bills became a coin called a Loonie (has a Loon on it), and 2 dollar bills became a coin called a Twoney (for 2 bucks). Most Canadians spell it Toonie though because we think our government is Loonie Toonie for doing this. They're talking about converting the 5 dollar bill to a coin next. No need to travel, our $1 and $2 are also coins, our lowest note is the $5 So how do you tip strippers then? Same way we do cows in the midwest
  11. All those cool cars makes me wonder what the perfect car would be to drive around in with your newly acquired boxed Air Raid game sitting shotgun (because you're now single after spending all that $ on a game). My vote: AMC Pacer or Gremlin.
  12. I'm out. I was interested, but not $10K+ interested.... or in other words, I'm crazy, but not that crazy. I'll just keep my reproduction cart and hope for a Repro box at some point. Even better, if someone makes a reproduction cart (t-handle) with Repro box. With all this hype, I bet this would make a good limited production run. Heck, they might even sell more than Men-a-vision did with the original
  13. Even if it plays on a US system? Nope, go check out all the rare Brazil, and Mexican games that are super rare that barely crack $10. They are NTSC games, and no one seems to care that much. Heck even the Canadian games don't get much traction in the U.S. as well. Seamonster should be more like a $500 instead of a $100 game. With that Air Raid box stating in clear engrishes that it hails from California it sure as heck counts as a USA NTSC release IMHO. With this box now prooving it's an NTSC USA release I wonder how some collectors are gonna try to convience themselves its not worthly of being counted in the NTSC set VS finally biting the bullet and buying a copy with it being so damn expensive and rare to get ahold of. And the "it's just a pirate hack" bullshit won't cut it just cause it shares code with Space Jockey as Air Raid is a totally different game than Space Jockey. In this hobby it seems there is more than 13 collectors that are wanting a "complete" USA or NTSC set so the price of this game even as a loose cart should be going up with the conformation of it's NTSC and further more USA release origins I do believe. I guess only time will tell if it does. The next loose Air Raid auction\public sale should be very intresting to observe I know that much for sure. Someone should list a loose Air Raid now on eBay to take advantage of all the hype and free advertising
  14. Tanman,,, based on historical significance and all, you may want to give some thought to "Provenance" and dig up as much old history on this and you can to attach to the auction? Any old pics of the Tuesday store or other artifacts? Picture of you back in the day playing the game (or at least Atari)? Letter signed by you with background, signed letter from Al giving it the nod at the bank, etc., etc.? All just food for thought and value adders for you / value retainers for future owner. I know when I got Pepsi Invaders from the original Coke owner, it was a lot more cool for me to have a letter from the old Coke employee talking about the event where he got this and the history in his family, etc. fyi... The Official Meaning of Provenance Provenance is the origin or source from which something comes. The term is often used in the sense of place and time of manufacture, production or discovery. Comparative techniques, expert opinion, written and verbal records and the results of tests are often used to help establish provenance. The provenance of works of fine art, antiques and antiquities often assumes great importance. Documented evidence of provenance for an object can help to establish that it has not been altered and is not a forgery or a reproduction. Knowledge of provenance can help to assign the work to a known artist and a documented history can be of use in helping to prove ownership. Evidence of provenance can be of importance in the fields of archaeology and palaeontology. Fakes are not unknown and finds are sometimes removed from the context in which they were found without documentation, reducing their value to the world of learning. Even when discovered apparently "genuine" archaeological finds must sometimes be treated with caution, the provenance of a find may not be properly represented by the context in which it was found. Artifacts can be moved far from their place of origin by mechanisms that include looting, collecting, theft or trade and further research is often required to establish the true provenance of a find. Most museums make strenuous efforts to record how the works in their collections were acquired and these records are often of use in helping to establish provenance. Fossils can also move from their primary context and are sometimes found, apparently in-situ, in geological deposits to which they do not belong, moved by, for example, the erosion of nearby but geologically different outcrops. In the archiving and the management of records proof of provenance is provided by the operation of control systems that document the history of records kept in an archive, including details of amendments made to them. Scientific research is generally held to be of good provenance when it is documented in detail sufficient to allow reproducibility. Provenance is a fundamental principle of archives, referring to the individual, group, or organization that created or received the items in a collection. In North American archaeology, and to a lesser extent in anthropological archaeology throughout the world, the term provenience is sometimes used instead. Usually the two terms are synonymous; however, some researchers use provenience to refer only to the exact location in a site where an artifact was excavated, in contrast to provenance which includes the artifact's complete documented history.
