  1. Just got me Atari Jaguar with the Jag CD player both complete in original boxes. Back when they first came out, we had a game shop back in Arkansas called GameMart. I got to try one out there but at the time and for the price, it just wasn't me. i had a chance at one time to get one from a friend but i still wasn't interested. as the years have passed, i've seen the popularity of the Jag rise with all the collectors out there. Especially the Jag CD. I figured being a collector myself and being a big fan of Atari since the 80's, i figured, what the heck. i'd better get one while i can. I really am impressed with this machine. It's just a shame it didn't do better than it did. I have another sealed Jaguar coming that i'm going to keep put up on display and i'm looking forward to getting Black Ice White Noise. Right now i'm playing Doom. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what good games to look for, especially the collectible ones? I've posted a pic of my Jaguar set here.

Judging by that photograph of Doom you attached, I'd say the first thing for the Jag you need to invest in is at least a composite cable, if not S-video. That RF picture just doesn't cut it if you really want to enjoy the Jaguar. Of course, since your a long time Atari fan, it's probable that you have an ST RGB monitor, in which case a custom Jag RGB cable can be made or bought for the best possible picture, if you don't mind the small screen. I use S-video and RGB (on an SC1224 13") and it's always a tough decision if I want to play it in S-video on my 32" TV in my Lazyboy, or on my monitor with the incredible picture, but less comfortably at a desktop.

Yeah your right. its not as bad as it seems seeing how the camera took the image but it definitley could be alot better. I hate rf boxes but thats all it came with. I have a 32 sony wega and a mitsubishi 46, both with s-video and composite so i can go with either connection. I'll definitly be picking a cable up for this. Unfortunately, the only monitors i have are my 2 1702 monitors for my commodores. How much would an s-video cablr for the jag run these days?

  2. go to mininova.org (since demonoid is down)

search for Total Video Converter 3.10 (i think it has about 250 seeds)

ive been using this for the past few days to convert other .flv i have, its quick and no watermark (after its registered)

ive been converting them to Divx because i have the philips divx DVD player, but there are tons of output options

if i get this program, how do i register it?

Their in .flv format and i need to convert them as well. It was good to see them again as i hadn't seen them since they were new out. I used to watch it everyday.

  4. and the quality sucks...

Please tell me some one has the Video Power shows!!!!!!

i have the video power episodes from youtube but the quality sucks on them too. its ok but i'd rather have the real thing. i have a guy thats gonna sell me the vhs with all of them on it for 15.

  5. I saw it many many years ago, prolly like 1984 on HBO, wasn't all that good IIRC.

I had a feeling it wasn't the greatest thing in the world but figured i'd throw one in my collection anyway since i have Wargames and The Wizard and The Last Starfighter original vhs :)

  6. Is the amount of money you would get from selling these few things really going to amount to all that much to apply toward a masters degree? Doesn't seem like it to me.

My advice - don't part with anything you want to keep. You'll end up regretting it, buying it back later for more money, or never having it again.

There's got to be other ways to handle your finances than getting a few hundred bucks by selling your stuff.

I totally have to agree with that!

Very nice. How much did the whole spread cost you, if you don't mind telling us? Just curious if you got a good deal on it or if it was "regular price."

$229.99. Not sure if that was actually a steal but i thought it was pretty good. I see the jag CD players are a little hard to come by.

  10. Thanks to all those that helped me in a previous post. I had mentioned that my 5200, which i had bought off ebay mint in box and complete, wasnt working. The problem was, when turned on, the sound was normal but the video was bad. There were objects and characters such as letters, dollar signs and numbers in places where they werent supposed to be. A few people mentioned it could be the GTIA or the Antic chip. Best Electronics even suggested it could be the 6502 CPU. They said if i ordered all three chips, i would have a 95% probability of correcting the problem. The other day i got lucky and found these chips and started swapping out till i found the right one. Turns out, it was the CO12296 Antic. Everything is running normal now. Again, thanks to all those that helped.

  11. Ok I saw above you have trouble getting around, I have been around and NOT seen any here in the PHILA area. My distributor is in MARYLAND, he has another skid for me and they are shelf pulls. So now they are getting even harder to find. I ship priority mail ( 2-3 days ) you are in PA as well how long of a wait can it be? Yes they are in the original boxes. I also have a batch in plain brown boxes I bought ( these were going to an outlet store

Hey I'm in Philly too. Looks like I got me a FB2 connection!

If i do get a seconf one, i'll definitly get it from you. Unfortunately, money is tight right now just starting my new job this week. My collection is bigger than my wallet.

  12. I'm in the process of restoring a zookeeper and i need a lil help. Does anyone have pics or know where i can get pics of the inside of the cabinet. I'm not sure exactly where evrything goes or how its supposed to be laid out. It was converted into something else. Just trying to find out whats missing and where it all goes. :(

  13. No I mean the FLASHBACK 2 I have about 200 of them left. I have a guy who gets themm as sheflf pulls. I have been selling pretty smoothly on fleabay for $29.99 + shipping . I can do better $20.00 + shipping they actually fit Perfectly in these boxes I get from a local warehouse

See your selling them for 30 on ebay too. plus with shipping would be more than what i paid. Now if you sell at 20 plus shipping, thats still going to put it close to 30. maybe 25 plus i'd have to wait. Are they in their original boxes?

  14. That's knda high you should have askwed around here I still have about 200  |<img src=" border="0" alt="icon_innocent.gif" /> ( shamless plug ) . that prce is CRAZY

I think you mean 200 Flashbacks, not the Flashback 2's. The Flashbacks are on closeout all over.

I agree. u must be talking about the first ones. if they are 2's, how did u get them and what are u asking for them? i only paid 30 because i didnt want topay shipping and have to sit and wait for it. Plus it was sitting right there unopened and it was the last one. from what i understand, the 2 is more poular and nobody really wants the 1.

  15. They were about $14.99 at Target a little while ago.

Yeah i kinda figured there would be cheaper places but i have trouble getting around usually and it was there so i said heck, now's the time. save me from having to order it on ebay, pay shipping charges and then wait for it to arrive. I seen one earlier today on ebay that was being bid on up to $51

  16. Hi,im thinking of putting a bid in on this tabletop,i live close buy so pick uo is available,i asked him about the little haywire problem, here is his response.
Thanks for your inquiry. Sometimes the machine will 'freeze' if it's knocked or hit, especially on the top of the unit. It certainly doesn't do every 5 minutes, and as I said in the past it's just a matter of turning the on and off. You can also completely lift the glass top lid which has a little micro switch underneath which, if memory serves me will also re-boot the unit. It's been a while since I last played the device, probably 4 years, but it fired up first go when I turned it on for the photos the list on Ebay and played fine. Yes the unit is available for pick up. Regards, Peter.

Do you think it is a major fault,or one i can live with....thanks

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Space-Invaders-Arca...1QQcmdZViewItem

Probably nothing major. looks like it would be worth it. heck if it ever got any worse, u could always have someone that knows what they're doing check it out. definitly be worth saving.
