I just recently modded my 2600Jr for composite video, and I would really like to know if anyone has performed this task on a beloved 5200. If so, results and schematics, pretty please.I installed the 8 Bit Domain video mod board a long time ago. It was pretty easy to do, plug and play, no soldering. There are some old threads in this forum about it. It was worth every penny!
Where do u get the 8 bit video mod board and how does that work?

Hey charles, my name is derrick. Well i bet we could have met at some point, im not sure but i am allmost certain mike and becky talked about you on many occasions. I didnt know him back in the higdon ferry days, but i have heard all about those days and you know the beef between him and his brother and all that stuff. His brother opened up his own store in hot springs also and they still havent made up yet!! Man i wish he would have went through with the little rock store, he was going to open up a store in north little rock, I was going to run it for him and we both were going to sell our stuff, I spent months looking and finally found a place that they liked. Found an AWESOME deal on all the display cases and book shelves and stuff from a K-mart that closed. Then they came down to sign the lease, we went to lunch and he just got cold feet and bailed on me, but hey its all good, he is a cool guy. If any of you guys call him to buy some stuff you need to talk very loud, he is very hard of hearing.LOL, that he is. all do to his working in a noisy factory years ago. I used to work with his brother too but the fued between them stopped all that and it proved that his brother is a butt. Anyway, sorry to hear about that. i bet it would have been cool. u know he opened up a store in i think it was either Arkadelphia or something like that and he had someone run it and the next thing i know, he said to heck with it and closed it down. I talked to him just the other day and he said hes getting ready do take his name out of the store and turn it over to Becky's son Jimmy. Their buying a 5 acre farm on the other side of Malvern. Anyway, good hearing from u and i'm sure i know you. Keep in touch!!!

HEY Arkansas dudes! Yea Mike and Becky's place in hot springs (The Game Room) is where its at for sure. Dude has the stuff- and tons of it, more stuff than ive ever seen, and then he has tons more in storage at his house, he just keeps bringing it out over the years, but if you try to get his nice boxed stuff--be prepared to spend some dough, he dosent part with it easily, he has gotten on an ebay priceing kick over the last few years on alot of stuff..Here are the pics i posted about a few years ago, they really dont do his stuff justice, hes got alot of cool stuff...
Here is a pic of their business card i have also.

Hey i bet i know you and you might even know me. I used to live down there by him and was in there sometimes everyday. I've known Mike way back when he didnt even deal in games at all. He first started selling things at the Higdon Ferry Fleamarket. He had a little of everything from knick nacks to a couple of nes and atari tapes. I'm the one that painted the store sign out front and i set up most of the inside layout that you see especially the one picture you have showing the 2 playstation wall scrolls. I did all of that, hanging the shelves up, putting the speakers up there and the 2 Atari 5200's. This was back in 2000 and it still looks the way i left it today. I've probably been in there when u came by a few times. He used to let me help run the store and register. What is your name? Mine is Charles.

My Atari 2600 doesn't work, but it's because the jack for the power cord is on the fritz. Before I'd have to carefully adjust it to make it work, and at one time putting a nail in helped keep it in place. Now it just doesn't work. Maybe I can fix it, maybe not.At least I have my Atari 7800.
Your board for the 2600 is most likely fine, just take the screws from the bottom and and remove the board....turn it over and look on the bottom under the power jack....most likely loose joints. Use a soldering iron to reinforce these joints and will be up and running again. Happens once in a while with the 2600's. I've repaired enough of them before.

Right now, all i have as far as Atari is 3 2600's one which is in original box, my boxed 4 port 5200 and my 800XL. I'm looking to buy a 7800 and a Jag....maybe even a lynx.

-
my bad.....had no idea someone found them already, sorry.

Do 5100 prototypes really exist?? Approximately how many are out there and how much would one expect to pay for one?
-
Take a look at these and let me know what u think.

Does AtariAge have a chat room? That would be a great idea.
-
It's collectable if you think it is.
Will it ever be worth something? Who knows, but it can never be worth as much as orginal hardware.
I agree. It may be collectible but it will ne ver touch the original hardware such as the 2600 itself.

HaHa!! I didn't even know there was a second one. Thanks for that one. I liked it too.

-
is modding a 7800 a good idea for like video out and other things or should i have an extra unit on hand to keep in original condition?
-
what does everyone think of this on?
-
I was reading the faq and it mentions 3 different ones. the third has a small mark on the shell somewhere. Where would i look for this mark? On the inside maybe?
-
I was reading in one of the posts about different 7800 units. The only thing i ever noticed different is one has an expansion port and one dont. How can u tell the difference between units and how many different ones are there?
-
Well if anyone is seriously interested in them, i only have 2 games since i have to keep one of each. One is pacman and the other is super breakout. I didnt have these games when i picked them up so i'll have to keep one of each. The super breakout needs the door fixed on the bottom.
-
Lmao. I'll keep that in mind. So atariage buys games?
-
That was good. The last couple of lines made it worth it.

Thanks for sharing!
No prob. I liked it pretty well. I've been a big pac-man fan for many years.

-
Not sure if anyone has seen this yet or not but i ran across this lil pacman cartoon and thought it was a trip.
-
I recently bought some 5200 games and ended up with 2 pac man games and 2 super breakout games. What should i do with the xtra games? No use putting them on ebay as they usually only hit a buck or 2.

Any good ones in Pennsylvania?

I was reading a lil bit and seems the flashback is a no no. Not being actual atari hardware or something. I dont know anything about these things but i've seen them in stores. Sounds like the flashback 2 is good tho. Are any of these essential in a good gameroom collection or no?

Not long ago, i went to a clothing recycling location to make a drop off and found 4 game systems laying on the ground by the bin. One sears video arcade heavy sixer, one sears tele-games video arcade regular six. one 2600 wood grain 4 switch, and a colecovision. none of them had hookups or controllers but i already had some extra stuff laying around for them anyway. The coleco did have its controllers tho. Was this a good find?
