I have no problem with whatever mods someone would like to do. I don't understand all of them, but after all, it's art. That being said, the only mod that I have done is to replace the LED in my black Dreamcast with a blue one which I think makes it look better. I know of a lot of mods that I would like to do, but unfortunately my soldering skills are almost non-existent right now. Once I get better, I'll finally build that tower PC that contains 4 different cartridge based gaming systems that I have been wanting to do. JY A blue led in a black dreamcast sounds cool.

Thanks for that one. may have to go with that if the original takes a dump.

New not-so-classic Classic Game Tees at Wal-Mart

Good idea! -
Yeah its a 2004 model heavier then hell i swear. One of those cases of "more money than brains" i guess. Sounds like you must live in Beverly Hills or something. Not that I think people don't have brains there, just that it seems you'd only get that kind of thing happening in an extreamly rich area. I used to live in New Jersey so i still go back 2monthsout of the year for the junk diposal which yields quite a bit of free goods

Here in the USA, at least where I live, older CRT TV's are a dime a dozen. People are buying newer TV's with digital tuners and also those old floor consoles take up more floor space than a newer 27" model that you can put on a TV stand. By the way many people will put stuff out on the curb hoping that someone comes by to pick it up. I've grabbed my fair share of free things this way! I've been finding things like this since i first started looking in 89'. Back in april, I found a 32" widescreen high def sony and it still works. Gave it to my wifes sister because it was so damn HEAVY!! I already have a 32 and a 46. This console is extra forolder things like the 2600.

Yup. I do have the original ataris, one light sixer and two 4 switchers, then i have a sears light six and the sears heavy which you see in the pic. I just hooked that one up because its the only heavy i have right now. But your right, with the woodgrain they look good together.

Yeah right! I know you really did it! LOL. anyway that is a fucking pristine TV especially for Atari enjoyment. The av inputs are awesome. I want to make a room that has only appliances from the early eighties in it, and I've been looking for a nice TV. I'm glad you guys like it. i was hoping it would be a good haul

Did it by myself into a 2006 dodge grand caravan......not to mention 3rd floor in the house. had a lil help from a friend to the second floor where i left it for about a half hour, then i took it up to the 3rd by myself again Oooooo my backkk!!

I have got to get that first one. Check any Wal-Marts in your area and see if they have them. I'd ask andseeif they could even get you one. They're around. -
Good luck with the moderator thing. I wanted to be one as well but was too late. soi figured what the heck, i'll just stick to posting here. It is nice to see something like this with the 5200 in mind. very good job!

Thanks. Zenith System 3 (1986) with a flip-down keypad

Picked these up at Wal-Mart for something like 4.99. Figured what the heck. Their game related and i kinda liked em. Does anyone else here have these as well. What others are their. I have another one put up (not pictured) that says "classically trained" and has an NES on it. Are their any others besides these out there? I know theres at least a couple i don't have.

Well, meet the newest member of my game room. Not as good a find as some of my other travels like atari 2600's intellivision, dreamcast, and tg16 but none the less, agood find seeing as i was on the hunt for a decent tv for my atari games. I already have a 32" sony and a 46" mitsubishi for the newer stuff. This is a 25" stereo receiver/monitor console with rear av inputs, which i like to have I was on my way to an appointment and a 2 and a half hour drive and my wife saw thison the side of the road so i figured, what the heck...Its very clean, loader up and bring it home.

maybe. I know the wires that come down offthe back off the coin box went to that but everything got pulled and ripped out when the bottom of this cab fell off a little over a year ago, but i have since repaired the bottom. As for the video, i guess i could put another plug back on the end or just find a way to get the wires to the rightr pens on the game board. Do you have a pic of an original power supply? Update: Its actually not a transistor but a bridge rectifier thats supposed to be there. Yours has both original. Ihave the one like yours but my other one has actually been modded to mount on the rear of the coin box using it as a huge heat sink. The wires run down from that to the board acting as the original would. So essentially, it's still a working zookeeper power board. I will have to resolder some wires. The video i know was modded to wire direct to jamma connections. Will i be able to still use that cable??
-
Last thing i knew, he still was. he has several things he's worked on. All of his work is good. That kind of modding is worthy.
-
I do like the portables tho.
-
Well i kinda agree but what i mean is totally gutting out a console just to turn it into something it isn't. Its fine to mod a console to run better on the new tv sets but then again, i don't feel the need to run my 2600 on a 60" high def either. So,i don't know. If you want high def, theres always PS3 and XBOX. Thats why i have a tv for newer games and a tv for older games.
