So can Pac-Man Championship Edition run in Pacmame? I'n ot familiar with it tho i've heard of it.No. Pacman Championship Edition is a new title on Xbox Live.
Pacmame runs old Pacman arcade game variants and their hacks.
Damn! i figured so. So much for dreamin.

Too bad this game can't be played on M.A.M.E.
I'm pretty sure most of them are playable in Pacmame... Which, by the way, also has those cool arcade hacks that were made to look like the 2600 versions

Well.. 8k Pacman I guess comes a little close. It was after all an attempt to get the "arcade" look while remaining faithful to the 2600 version of Pacman

Hmm. Not bad.

2k has been my max so far for one game.2000? Damn, what was the name of the game? I almost soiled my pants when i heard that a boxed and sealed 2600 unit sold for 2000.

I wanna get some rpg's for the saturn eventually. I know i paid $70 for Lunar 2 on ps1 when it came out.

A few years back for me was Dragonball GT Final Bout for Playstation. I paid $280 when it was rare. Now its nothing but my copy has been gone for quite some time now.

I thought they turned pink on the controller, but could be wrong. On my atari 5200 systems, the plastic is defiantly a different material. It is baked on the metal, and refuses to come off, even with certain chemicals.Yeah they were pink to start. If i were you and that stuff just won't come off, id have to pick up a new one from Best. If i didn't it would get on my nerves.

Do You have any left. I could use one.

Those were painstaking recreations of the Atari 2600 Pac-Man game screen using a screen shot of the original arcade game from KLOV.com.Cool! i like it

Correct me if i'm wrong since i just found out about this game but why is everybody complaining that $10 is too high. I mean, when you figure all others are usually around $50. Or is there something about this game i don't know about? Are they selling the demo for $10?Pac Man Championship Edition is a XBox Live Arcade Game, meaning it is a pay to download game. Such products from the service are either $5 (400 MS points) or $10 (800 MS points). The trial versions are free. Pac Man Championship Edition is $10. Such a price isn't unusual for Live Arcade Games which are new creations as opposed to classic arcade ports. However, there are a couple of original games like Geometry Wars and Jetpak Refueled which are $5. Pac-Man CE seems to fit more with the $5 category, as it seems to match their qualities rather than those of the other $10 releases.
Of course, if the game were released on a disc, just about everyone would trash it, unless it came with 20 other games and the arcade original and was only $20.
So what your telling me is its just a download that is full version for 10. i guess i see. i've yet to get a 360 but i do want one.

I played the demo and loved it, $10 does seem a little steep, so i'll hold off for a while, at least until i get Castlevania:Symphony of the Night.Correct me if i'm wrong since i just found out about this game but why is everybody complaining that $10 is too high. Will these always be readily available? Also, your using the actual roms that were never released right?Yes they will probably be available, drop me an e-mail if there are any problems.
Prototype reproductions use the actual prototype rom images, conversions are games created from their 8-bit computer counterparts.
Steve
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for saying ROM images instead of just roms.
Yes, I know it's stupid, but abuse of "rom" drives me nuts.
geez, sorry. how is it abuse? at least he knew what i meant.

I recently acquired a 5200 (2 port, if that matters) for a really good price from a fellow AtariAger. The power supply, Atari part number C018187, had a blown fuse which I replaced. Unloaded, the power supply is putting out ~14.7v which looks pretty clean on an oscilloscope. Now the 5200 powers up.
On power up it only displays a blank, black screen, but the video is clean in that it doesn't jump or flicker or change colors, or do the wiggly-scrambled-missing-sync-pulse thing. Steady as a rock-no roll.
With a cartridge, it displays the same as without a cartridge: blank, black screen. I cleaned and tested 4 or 5 cartridges. The only thing I see different with a cartridge installed is that it will occasionally display a blue-green, teal-ish screen briefly on startup before it goes back to displaying black. Less frequently, I get a solid white band about 2-3 inches wide down the length of left side of the screen (31" CRT) with the rest of the screen showing a similar bluish-green color.
The console is connected directly to the f-connector input on the TV with the same RCA to F-connector adapter that I use with my other game consoles.
I intend to do the basics: dismantle the unit, inspect and clean the cartridge slot and inspect the board for any obvious problems.
I'm brand new to the 5200. I would greatly appreciate pointers as to specific things I might look for if anyone has experienced and resolved this issue. I'm looking for education.
(Moderators: Also posted in Hardware forum with no technical response. Duplicated here hoping for more specific 5200 advice. Feel free to delete either.)
Try checking the largest of chips on the board....the four biggest ones in the middle below the cartridge slot. their numbered. try checking the CO12296, the CO14805, and the CPU, which i forget the number on it. The CO12296 is the "Antic" which very well could be the problem, but try the other 2 as well to make sure. Thats what i had to do. The fourth chip is for sound so you probably won't need to worry about that one.

Ok, that is just too cool! what is that on right now, arcade only?

Does anyone have a screenshot of the game or anything? Sounds interesting:)

For games not listed there drop me an e-mail at [email protected] and I can arrange to make you one.
Steve
I WILL definitly be doing business with you sometime in the future. I won't be able to really do anything till the nd of the year or first of next year as all my money is tied up right now. I like what i see. My main concern was the cartridges and the labels. But as i see, you do a damn good job. I'll be ordering some and i'll let you know what others i want as well. Will these always be readily available? Also, your using the actual roms that were never released right?

Damn. I need the pillow cases. I only got a Battlestar Galactica one that Ive had forever. I also have Donkey Kong board game, and the Popeye board game (based off arcade game.)At some antique shop by me, they had a pac-man lunchbox that I really wanted, but they wanted $40 for it. Luckily they are outta bussiness now.
Yeah i only paid $15 for the pac-man lunch box and thermos. I've had it about 2 years now. I bet the battlestar galactica is nice. Wouldn't mind having that myself. I plan on getting more board games too. Sounds like you got a pretty nice collection yourself. Its always interesting to talk to someone who has the same kind of stuff and interests. Thats what i like about this site, we're all into the same kind of things.

Does anyone know whether or not these games are available and which ones? I'm particularly interested in The Last Starfighter.Heck you can get any dump for any system put on a cart\disc if you ask the right questions to the right people.
