I have a little question: has Sport fan for visicom been dumped? I can find a file "cas-130" in Emma02 but, when launched it concerns bowling/doodle and more, but not baseball and sumo. Is there a way to be able to play and test this game which is looking very great for such an old system? Too, is the repro of the demo cart always available or am I too late? And I would like to sincerely congratulate people here that do very great things to know more and preserve the Studio II system series. You are making a very interesting work for the archeologists in the future!

Very interesting! Can you take picture to see this vinyl? Do you know if it exists same items for the other Supercharger games?

SGM received some days ago. I'll give it a try with Mecha-9 (and Mecha-8!) the next week-end probably. Just one thing, a side of the box is not glued (or the glue has no effect). Which sort of glue is better to fix the box? Thanks!

Sydney Hunter & The Sacred Tribe
RayXambeR replied to retroillucid's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Sydney Hunter is a really "wow" game. Congratulations to all the team! A question, with the limited edition it was mentioned "special feature" but I haven't found anything that could be a special feature. What is it exactly? I have received the sw game with cart, 2 overlays, notice and the map but no "special feature". -
Are you serious? Do you remember your post #61, dated the 25th march 2017? Did you forget that you have written: "Will ship Monday morning, your module has been ready for a while"? So, even if I admit easily not to be the cleverer man on the Earth, it supposes that my SGM has only been sent the 27th march 2017... so not couple of months ago! And I have already given my home address the 8th february, by email, to Grazi and she answered to me the good receipt of it. I'm a patient guy but, now, I am very fed up with the SGM story. If you don't want to honor my order and want to have a sort of revenge about me because I have expressed my opinion concerning the SGM, just say that. Be honest. That's simple. And don't find each time fallacious arguments to explain your fault. Note that I have ordered SGM since "a couple of years", not months.

What do you want from me, Youki?

Is there anybody out there? (yes, I like Pink Floyd music! Always no SGM received today...

Dear ColecoVision fans, Daniel Bienvenu here (long letter)
RayXambeR replied to newcoleco's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Nice to see you again, involved in CV scene, Daniel. Hope you will add lots of new original and exclusive games to the CV library! -
Is there a tracking number to follow the package? Thanks.

Sorry but I had confirm my home address the 8th february 2017, by email. And, Grazi has received this email because she had answered with these words: " Great! Thanks Cyril. As soon as we ship your module I'll let you know. Grazi Mello Director, Opcode Games www.opcodegames.com | [email protected]" So, before saying that I have never replied to her request, she could have simply checked the emails received and sent...

Nothing received today...

I'd be interested in purchasing the multicart, the composite PCB and the box. If you still have them, of course! Great idea to celebrate the 40th anniversary with such an item!

Hobby or professional, it is not the debate: hobby does not mean not to not act professionally. Using the word « hobby » can't be an authorization to be protected to not do announced things. And I know lots of hobbyists acting more professionally than professionals… Eduardo, you’re wrong. I have never expected something from you - except the SGM of course! - and sorry but some humans like me don’t only live for money and some use their brain to think. You have your reasons, problems and I understand that and I think accepting the situation about the SGM is a proof of that (and I helped you by testing the SGM proto and if I have to do that again, I'll do it again). If you simply read my first message on this topic, I have just exposed my opinion about SGM (disappointment) and mainly the fact I'd rather original games. And, immediately, some people have answered that I am bitching… So, I leave this discussion at that point.

GraziGamer > It is so easy to dissociate the « old » opcode » and the « new » opcode with a magic wand. You see, yesterday it’s an old « myself » on t he forum and today I am totally « new » and, surprisingly, I think all things you’ve made are fantastic Stop joking, I have decided to buy the SGM in the first run because I thought in this project and I estimate legitimately have been deceive because of 5 years of waiting and not with the line up as announced first (I understand it is the « old » opcode » so I cannot complain about that! I learn very quickly you know) and that’s all. If some games, specific to SGM, appear great for me, I’ll buy them. I never consider to boycott SGM but I also don’t want to be blinded by you and your capacity to not recognize any of your « lacks ». Take a break, breathe and think about what you’ve done. And if you always think that you have done the things very well (what about the legality?) and in total respect of your passionate buyers/customers, I think there is a little problem… I never consider things are black or white in life. To meditate. OK, Eduardo, thanks for your understanding. But I don’t demand a favour, treat me just as any of your other customers. Question: why does the message of Bfg disappeared?
-
You're right, it is obvious, sooooooo much information before 2015! And in 2014, we have to wait for the 2nd run and in may 2015 the second run is out... after 2nd run, take care of scart SGM and 3rd run in on the way and no scart SGM... And why being forced to connect to a forum to read and see if there is any message (sometime more than 1 YEAR between two messages)? Don't you think the seller would have to contact his customers to mention the progress? Perhaps it is only what you would like to think about me but I have no frustration. And I have said "not very informed". I haven't say "never informed". The process, during these 5 years, has been very chaotic on a communication's view and I think Eduardo himself can recognize that easily.

GraziGamer said: « I can tell you that porting a arcade game takes muuuuuuch more effort and time than a MSX game » -> It is why I say the word « business »! Ed has clearly made a choice (and I respect that): making « easier » (I don’t say that it is easy) MSX conversions, more « bankable », instead of trying to make enhanced arcade games or (better for me) ORIGINAL new games, more « risky » in their own. I think a compromise between some MSX games and ONE « other » game (arcade or original new) could be great, but it is not the case. I know it is more time consuming to design and program a new game (as I am involved in some, not only on ColecoVision. So I am not completely a newbie in game development, sorry) but it is the only way to have a different library than other systems. My fear: original games could completely disappear from the CV scene. I don’t want that because I have always great fun with the ColecoVision system. As I have discuss since long time with several Colecovision programers, so I know how are the difficulties to conceive and optimize a real CV game in only 32K. But if people here are happy with playing and buying all these games, it is no problem for me. On homebrew scene - not only ColecoVision as I am « involved » in different homebrew scenes - I have always privilege original new games made from scratch. It’s my choice and I assume it. And I think, contrary to what TPR said, I am in my right to write that. I said « a big part of » and not « the whole ». Words makes sense you know. So, please thanks to be tolerant if a person has not the same opinion. According to your last sentence, I just have the choice between to not complain or express a disappointment, and leave the forum?? Are you kidding me? And, finally, concerning the SGM module, the fact that we have to wait for 5 years, without been very informed about the process, is another problem linked to the fact that the first announced games are not ready now (DK arcade for example and other like Arkanoid…). Can you understand or you don’t accept any criticism and just want to read words like « wow » or « amazing » about everything with a ColecoVision sticker on it? I consider it is not having great respect to the first customers that have financed this ambitious project, even if I consider realizing new hardware is a real achievement and I congrat - and support and help - Eduardo for that. And I think people like me, that have to wait for SGM since 5 years, have been very tolerant, very mannerly, not as some people here that say insults, it is not my way concerning discussion/debate and simply not my own vision of Coleco scene (yes, Coleco … vision!
-
Eduardo, understand me: making replica of MSX/SG-1000 games is not the same as doing enhanced versions of arcade games. First, the DK arcade seems great and a good launch title, but it is always not finished and, before, there is too much of MSX conversions. Sorry, but games like warp&warp using the SGM is a non sense for me: why such a game (it is a good game, ok) cannot be made on CV without SGM? In which terms, its realization impossible to do without SGM? And seeing these types of games commercialized before real enhanced versions of arcade games announced, is not a good thing and give the impression that business is prior to anything. I just hope to have wrong in the next months/years! But, for now, with this incredible amount of SGM releases (you are not the only one, Collectorvision and TeamPixelBoy do the same, but they maintain CV "standard" editions and, sometimes, some homebrew original creations too), the CV scene has lost a big part of its initial interest for me.

In the beginning, SGM seem to be interesting (five years ago) for me. But seeing that the product only afford replica of existing games, it is a fact! And I am free to think it is not a good point. In your life, you have never been disappointed by a product? The delay is not the big complaint for me (if it was, I will have "bitch" before but, it is a also fact!) and I can understand that solving a technical problem can take a long time. And I don’t say the SGM is not a good product in its own. Note that I have had the possibility to « test » it before its commercialization (Eduardo had contacted me to make beta-test on Scart System. I have opened my expansion module #1 for him and take pictures , it is what developers have done with it. It is not the concept from start, even if, probably, it was planned as it. But I had hope that there was not only reproductions. But the already made games and the ones announced confirm that. The original vaporware SGM was intend to having Super Game, not just MSX and SG-1000 games. Sorry but, now, SGM seems to be too focused on business. Sorry but I’d rather seeing a game like Mecha-9 instead of having Castlevania on CV, even if I love Castlevania. Please note that I have the same opinion about not specific SGM games like elevator action etc. (however I love Elevator Action!). If the goal is just to let grow the CV library and make business, there is no interest for me and I don’t want to give my support. And sorry if I have some principles (don’t really appreciate illegal releases for example) and do not only spare my time to consume everything and be blind. Each person is free to buy each game made for SGM, any replica, and myself to not buy them! What else? I don’t see any bitching in my words.

SGM is a big disappointment and I haven't received it "yet". OK, there was a problem with SCART model, and I can understand it takes lot of time to solve it, but no real information about the process and no realistic shipping date was given for customers that have paid for this some years ago. And, the fact that SGM games are mainly (99%) existing games on other systems (SG-1000 or MSX) is not a good point in my opinion. No real fun to play King's valley, Penguin Adventure on a ColecoVision as the same versions exist on MSX (and I don't talk about rights about these games...). And the fact a huge quantity of "new" games is planned for 2017, could completely kill the CV scene. I hope some guys will use the SGM not only for having facilities to adapt lots of program and make business. The nanochess games, Mecha-8 and Mecha-9, works very well. They are OPTIMIZED for a "simple" Coleco, they are totally ORIGINAL, and they take use of SGM for the sound. It is a good compromise and the guarantee to have EXCLUSIVE games on ColecoVision. OK, I know the "collector" effect as I am myself a collector guy. The boxes of Opcode are probably fantastic and the games very great to play with the huge Eduardo's knowledge of CV system. But what is the interest?? The Vectrex scene, the Intellivision one have more original games than the ColecoVision scene. The Atari 2600 scene is marvelous too. And even with already known games, developers take use of each feature of each system and have to adapt the gameplay to each system. Juno First on Atari 2600 is a real new programming. The same for the Vectrex version, etc. From the start the SGM could have a real interest for me, but now, it simply hasn't (you are free to think different of course!)

One copy, please. Any number will do! Thanks!

I am looking for a ROM file of this prototype able to work with the Turbo module. All the ROM files I find are functional but only with a normal joystick. So my question: is the The Fall Guy compatible with driving module or is the ROM files patched? Thanks!
-
Simply rename extension of a romfile to ".int" not bin or rom. Too, if you would like to play with a REAL intellivision controller with Openemu, buy an adapter from raphnet.net It works very well and the guy has several sort of adapters (not just for inty) in his catalog. I have tested Jaguar and some other controllers and all are fantastic! GUIintv is not very stable on mac but you can launch it and, then, force to quit and jzintv keeps opened. So you can play the game. And with an application like Joystick Mapper, you can associate keyboard controls with a real joypad.
