Just one thing about ReVival.
Please don't compare French and English issues. Now, the contents are different and the fact ReVival #42 is in French and ReVival #40 (near to come) in English doesn't mean there is a difference of two issues. For example, Ghost'n Zombies is reviewed in French ReVival #41 and will be reviewed in English ReVival #40. The same fact with Ghostblaster (French #42 and English #41, in may). Too 3D Sector-X on Vectrex will be reviewed in French #43 and in English #41!
Too, French issue is now devoted to homebrew but also to retrogaming and shoot'em up!
And the English issue is specialized in homebrew gaming - and only homebrew gaming - with the near to come issue #40.
Ghosblaster has obtained a 9/10
Really great game. With G'n Z we have two fabulous "ghost" games on Colecovision

Congratulations to Youki and Newcoleco!
The URL of English ReVival is http://revivalgames.org/welcome.php

OK! Thanks Andy!

I have received my copy but the DVD "book" is totally blank. My computer can't mount it on the desktop and talk it is a blank DVD...
Perhaps you have forgotten to write on it?
-
Interested by one copy, please. Whatever the serial number,
it is for playing the game not for the collection!

(International order)

Interested by this game

I think I am on the previous Vong list. But I haven't paid if I remember well.
-
I am interested by this system. I'd rather, if possible, trade against some other items. I contact you by private message for that.
-
I will be interested in buying Yoomp!. I am located in France so I don't think it will be interesting to trade. Better to receive money and buy in US the Wii peripherals you like! But I can without problems, trade items if you prefer. But shipping cost are not at your advantage I think.
A price for your Yoomp! cart and perhaps a photo of the complete packaging, please?
Thanks!

I completely agree with rpgcollector. GDG is a great shop and has great support for all homebrew games (and retro in the past). Don't hesitate to order from GDG!
I think GDG and AA are really "additional" and homebrew/retro gamers can be happy to have two shops like them.

No news about this game?
-
Are you considering a two-player mode?
The game seems great with very big sprites.
-
I have my answer: I've just finished the game mode "grinch" (my time is 10:21). I think the last house is #31. But no additional mode after beating "grinch"

The last houses with the dog are not really easy! My thumb is used now!! (I have played on a 7800)

The latest issue of ReVival is available now in stores like Good Deal Games, AtariAge (and soon 16/32 Systems in the U.K.)
It is the 39th issue.
http://revivalgames.org/parution/rev39e.php

And it contains a special booklet devoted to the Adventurevision (8 pages)

You can also read two articles: Wind and Water on Dreamcast and Lady Bug on Atari 2600.
------------------
For information...
ReVival is a 100% homebrew and retro gaming magazine, but much more specialized in homebrew!
Each issue contains lots of reviews, articles, tests, interviews, reports, etc.
ReVival is first written in French (my native language!) and this is why there is a delay between French and English issues. But we are retrogamers, collectors and huge homebrew fans, so we can easily accept waiting a few weeks before reading articles about our passion!
ReVival is only made on our spare time and we try to be as exhaustive as we can. And I think we have reviewed more than a few homebrew games since our first issue (December 1997!). ReVival exists in English since the 29th issue. All these issues are available in different stores (see below)
We hope to publish the next issue in February and the #41 in May. ReVival is a quarterly publication.
And if you want to take a look at ReVival, you can read a free issue, #32, directly at the official website http://revivalgames.org/welcome.php
I would like to thank Michael Thomasson who is the first to have read ReVival in the USA (when ReVival was only available in French!) and encouraged me to make ReVival available in English. I would like to thank Albert Yarusso for his support too and for giving the opportunity to people to talk about homebrew on AA's forums. It is fantastic to have people like them in the homebrew scene. And I am really proud to see ReVival selling in such stores.
So, I hope you will be happy reading ReVival and we will be pleased to consider remark, critic and congratulations of course!

We are always interested in people who are able to translate from French to English or want to write some articles directly in English. Then we will just have to translate them in French! That’s easier for us!

Thanks for your attention!
PS: as my English is not that great, please note that I am not the main translator in ReVival. The man who does that (thanks to Didier Briel) is really better than me!

Just would like to say this game is great, even after several tries. The fact there is lot of locked game modes is excellent.
I have just found the grinch mode but fails at house 28...
Do exist another game mode after the grinch one? And is it possible to access to this game mode without finishing the other ones?
-
This seems to be a great game!
Perhaps can you think about a two-players mode? Could be fantastic!
-
Do you think it is impossible to think about a commercial release with cartridge and packaging?
Perhaps you can discuss with Teampixel boy (colecovision) about making some new case for Virtual Boy? Sure the quantity needs to be important but you can resell casings to other developpers (for other homebrew games like Blox).
-
There is also a great game called Galaxian-Remix from Touko and a project called Thunder Force octology for chistmas 2010!
Yes the Pc Engine begins to have a great homebrew scene

-
Sorry, yes there is 10 levels and not 19 as I have typed

OK for the good ending but I think I have killed all the ghosts... Perhaps I have forgotten one in a level ...
Thanks Daniel to make some game like that!
-
I have just finished this game and would like to say it is awesome! Fantastic work on this game: the scrolling is really smooth, graphics are excellent and sound great. I love all the secret access in this game to find all gems.
I don't know if after 19th level the game continue because the last message is "... but this area is still haunted. Try again". Can you say more about that Daniel, please?
-
Daniel, I have tried to send you a message but it seems you cannot receive any message. Perhaps your box is full?
-
Doubledown, is it always possible to order a manual? Please note that I am French so perhaps shipping cost are more expensive?
And what about a box? It could be great to have something like the box made for the previous Jeepers Creepers.
-
Probably a stupid question but can we play in co-op with one copy of BS and one copy of BS Gold?
-
Very great idea! I think you can made a set like Orphan overlays on Intellivision, with commercial games and homebrew ones.
I am not really interesting by new existing overlays (like mouse trap or others)

I've just seen this topic...
Is a copy always available? If yes I'll take it!
