I'd recommended anything from Nippon Ichi on the PS2. They also made Disgaea 3 on the PS3 almost 2 years ago and are releasing Disgaea 4 in the future. Others I've liked on the PS3 are Trinity Universe and Cross Edge. Another PS3 release, Atelier Rorona: Alchemist of Arland, I dont have yet but I'd bet it's great.

Cool - thanks for the heads up. I like that kind of feel to the forums, even tho I'm not looking to break any records myself. I guess I'll just have to wait for an admit to wake up there =) That whole Tim Mcvey Day stuff looks pretty wild.

Does anyone here visits those forums?. I've tried to register but have not got the admin to send me email (other than the automated one) to approve registration. I see a lot of ppl posting there so the forums are alive. Just wondering if there are any admin to approve new members and how long it will take.

A classic, with a great port to the Apple.. Apple Panic! (how creative they were to avoid the licence!) Once in a pit you have to bash them with your shovel and make them fall thru. On later levels they have to fall 2 floors, etc so you have to plan ahead by digging a hole underneath the original hole you sink them into.

I've noticed that some people playing mame on youtube are using cheats in the videos. This helps me a lot in some games I might do that have a ton of levels and are hard to get to yourself. You might be able to find and use a cheat for side trak to end the level or give you lots of lives, that kind of thing. Edit: ok I finished a level. It plays 1 annoying sound 3 times then goes into the spectacular "Bonus" screen pictured here Enemy train starts out faster on 2nd level.

I remember this game on the c-64. Cool that you are trying a go at a 2600 one. Can you show a screenshot of what you have so far? Edit: thanks! =) I wonder why they left out the "picture" in Rocky Horror Picture Show. Also if Pac-Man Red makes a Riff Raff sprite I might just have to steal it =) Edit again: That title screen looks sick!

Did Super Mario Bros end the crash?
riffraff replied to toptenmaterial's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I'm pretty sure it was this game that ended the crash: Edit: in all seriousness.. I saw SMB in the arcades and was not impressed at all. It wasn't until I played it on the NES where I really found out how much fun it was. -
2nd Bally Astrocade homebrew - Crazy Climber
riffraff replied to riffraff's topic in Homebrew Discussion
Yes and no. Originally for War we used parts that were available. Since then we've come up with some more spare PCBs, the strong possibility to make new PCB's, and a decent cache of shells. I envy the 2600 and CV homebrewers that don't seem to have this issue =) Mike G. -
2nd Bally Astrocade homebrew - Crazy Climber
riffraff replied to riffraff's topic in Homebrew Discussion
It's cool - I had a Crazy Climber machine as a kid.. =) I asked about the best way to do something like this back in 2007. Best idea I got was to space out the 2 joysticks with a pink eraser and hold them together with twisty-ties. (Rubber bands were not stable enough) Hey that thread is still here. Both of those games are on my long list of potential future-games. -
I'm pleased to announce my 2nd Bally Astrocade homebrew, Crazy Climber! It's currently 99% finished (basically just working out a sound bug) and should be available for pre-order via BallyAlley in a short while. I've been working with Adam Trionfo and Ken Lill to make sure we'll be able to produce a decent number of copies and everything looks good! Adam will be able to give more details on the pre-ordering in the near future for those who are interested. Here's a link to a video I made of the game last night: For those who missed the first game, War, it was finally released in early October of last year. Only 20 copies were made of that one and there are no plans for any more. Mike G.

Yes I bought these from an ex-Electra employee in the mid 90's. Whenever I put one up for sale they don't last long. I didn't know that there were any others up for sale but I wouldn't worry about the rarity. I'm selling at a good price for a quick sale. I had some masterplay interface units too but they're all sold out. Oh btw if outside the USA, add $12 for the cost of shipping.

I have a few left, checking interest on here before I hit ebay. Atari 5200 Meteorites Shrinkwrapped, new in box.. MINT. Absolutely perfect. Asking $175 shipped. (+$12 if outside USA) Send me a message if interested! edit: price lowered

FS: Atari 2600 Video Reflex / Video Jogger blowout
riffraff replied to riffraff's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Ahh I haven't been active in the forums in some time. Someone mentioned to me that this thread had been bumped. The carts I have I bought in 1995 when I lived in the SF Bay Area. I still have some available. -
Frostbyte bought some 2600 games from me.. everything went smooth! Trustworthy
