They all ripped off Night Driver!!

If by saying yes, would that make someone try harder to get the rom for us??
If so I'll tear off his shirt and make it look like the ones they had in that binder the pink panther auction guy originally was going to include. -
If we are to include intellivision games then it's a much closer call. Swords & Serpents was really cool for anyone interested in D&D! Safe cracker wasn't half bad. Microsurgeon has some really impressive graphics as did Demon Attack.
But for the 2600, games like Kaboom, Enduro and Boxing were so fun and replayable... Activision had it down.

I got lost on the way to the flea market and saw Savers. I thought it was surely a sign from god that they had a boxxed pepsi invaders on their shelf. Obviously my expectations were a little too high but I did find this very clean Pink Panther plush doll as a reward to whoever secures the 2600 rom. Wthis new added motivation it's only a matter of time before someone is able to do it! BTW my dog really really thinks this toy is for him.

Can you come down to .25 each? oops sorry thought I was at the flea market =)
Pretty cool of you to help some new collectors get a cheap start on their collection at garage-sale prices!

It took me some time to respond to this thread. The pictures here make me kind of angry.. in an envious/jealous way =) All my stuff is in boxes for several moves now. Really nice job dedicating a room to something like that. Someday I'll have a house and can make a nice display.. hopefully! Until then I'll just lug it around and continue to rent an extra bedroom for it.

Damn I got pwned
thanks for the explinationAlso looking at the insertion fees, I have been losing a little money by pricing things 1 cent too high.. $10 $25.. doh
Ok I'm an ebay noob. -
Bump, anyone got any of these for me?
I'll see if I have any other 32x games on your list
-
It's still up there.. $225. If that's out of line the auction can just run it's course. 1 quick bid on it so far. I'm going to run all future auctions at 5 days or less.. 7 days seems like way too long when most of the time ppl tend to wait til the end anyways.
Edit: what the heck? where did the BIN go? Does it dissappear as soon as someone makes a bid? I'm confused.
-
This is going to be a quick auction as most of these aren't too hard to get, just I had multiple people inquire about certain games and I figure they can duke it out if they wish. You can post a bid here or PM me if you see something you like. Shipping will cost whatever it costs. Auction will run until Tuesday night, 11:59pm PST. Minimum bid incriments of $0.50 please.

I chose Mountain King, but I was thinking more of the 5200/400 one.
They are all excellent games IMO.

The list of Atari 400/800/XE carts has been moved to Auction Central for a classic r.g.v.c.-style 3-day auction. Thanks for your interest.

I dont think I've played Protector, but Data Storm was one of the best Amiga games ever. It's got to be one of the few games in history that was superior than the coin-op it was based on.
-
I probably do. Haven't seen it in a while, must be buried deep in a box somewhere.
-
Thanks for the info guys. I don't know much about this item except I used it once. It's a bit bulky for my taste and don't play my SNES much these days.
-
Come on people, why aren't these through the roof yet? It's not like they have been through fleamarkets and basements, switched hands four times and been washed. Dan bought these himself back in the day, directly from the Atari Club.
Hmm, maybe I'll get the Crazy Climber myself, now that I think about it.

I'd be all over CC if I didn't have it CiB.
I'm probably going to make a move on Quadrun at some point.

I'll be posting my lot soon.

SUPER NES SUPER SCOPE 6 with BIN
It's in excellent shape and comes with everything but the manual. I probably have the manual somewhere, just need to find it. If I find it I'll make sure to include it at no extra cost.

Ok I've since learned that the Dreadnaught Destroyer patch shown is not that rare and that the Digital Press page is showing the rare variant on their site as a mistake (the triangular one). The Beamrider one is another story.
Ok, on to where these patches came from:
In the summer of 1989 I was working on my first published game for Activision called Beyond Dark Castle for the C-64 which was a port from a black & white Mac game of the same name. For the last week of the project they asked me to come work at the office in California and I did. While there I noticed this fairly large box full of Activision patches. Inside the box were individual plastic bags with various amounts of patches. I asked the producer of my project if I could take 1 of each patch from the box and he laughed, then said it would be ok. So thats what I did! (way before I had done any serious collecting other than NES carts) I think they stopped shipping out patches very soon after that as it was pretty late in the game for that stuff.
Here's some other fun info tho...
* One of the other patches I got from the box was the "common" Beamrider's patch and I'm pretty sure they were sending that one out at the time when someone wrote in for one.
* The programmer who did the Amiga port of Beyond Dark Castle is Michael Schwartz, a life-long friend of mine and gave me my first pro job doing the c-64 port. If this name sounds vaguely familliar he was the programmer/designer for Chase the Chuckwagon. He also programmed some Xonox games like Artillery Duel and Chuck Norris.
* Activision was working on Ghostbusters II for the 2600 and other systems at the time and it was nearly finished. I've been out of it for a while so if any protos have shown up since then I wouldn't be surprised.
* There was a "secret room" which somehow I was able to get a peek inside. This room only had 1 door and was packed with programmers reverse-engineering, coding for, and developing art for a new system called the Sega Genesis which was not yet in stores. I remember them using Deluxe Paint to draw some art and had some kind of Football field working on one of the units which looked a lot like Madden.

Every version of Congo Bongo I have played other than the arcade version have sucked ass.
C-64 disk version of Congo Bongo was pretty good! The disk loading between levels was a bit of a pain but beyond that it looked/played well.

I love that model of the NES. All the security gone, will play any cart.

People collect for it yes, but this particular title is not hard to come by, worth a few bucks at the most.
