The system itself is worth more than the games usually but it has to be working. Hook it up, test it out (do not place it on a carpet, the system can be damaged if it overheats). I haven't priced systems in some time but working machines are definitely in demand.

10% off.. All right!

lol .. sorry I have offended the Highlander faithful
I'd change it but for some reason it's not letting me edit the post. -
Did they ever make the "realsports baseball" game that was on the 5200 into an Atari 8 format? That's what I'd vote for
If not then the star league baseball was ok. I never had an Atari 8 as a kid but it probably played the same as the c-64 version. -
It's probably not going to happen. There may be an "arcade" version down the road (not anytime soon) when we get carts larger than 8k. I had drawn art for the things that didn't make it like the "gorilla" "helicopter" etc. Some day...

Oh I can assure you the spirit of Jeff Minter will be apon us if Tempest 2000 does not receive a bid!

It is worse when sellers say they don't combine shipping, but then they throw all of the items in one box without proper packing and still charge the separate shipping price. If they say they won't combine shipping then the items should be sent in separate packages. It is not as bad as sellers refusing to send the item to a winner when they didn't get the bids they expected.
In two cases like that I specifically uncombined the purchase and made sure to pay for one, wait for it to ship, then pay for the next. I order my Amazon items the same way since they charge you a ship fee for each item in the marketplace. If you are paying full price, you should certainly get each in its own package.
Dang Ax, you are a crafty one =)
Probably gets you some extra boxes to use for when you are shipping stuff out.

Yeah I usually open mine as well. The starpath collection was an exception tho as I figured I'd probably not hook up a tape recorder so never actually "play" the original games on the tape format.
Some large "complete but open" auctions coming up in the next couple days.

Final price $525.
Why couldn't my SW'd startropics go for that much?

Starpath collection ending in 6+ hours, other auctions added.

Since ebay started charging a fee on shipping charges I would think it's more important than ever to try and combine shipping. (If someone pays for items seperately and then wants combined shipping, you don't get reimbursed for fees lost to ebay.)
Sounds like it will work out for you. I'm surprised this guy doesn't care more about his fb score.

I'm not happy to sell it but times are really tough for me right now.
<6 hours left.

A side-deal was made and the auction cancelled. This is something I have never done before or wish to do again. I had discussed selling this lot with the buyer back in 2009 and had forgotten about that conversation until I ran across it quite by accident while looking for another.
I sincerely apologize.

Thanks for the replies

I noticed the end-label of this Ballblazer does not match any of the descriptions here:

Anyone know about it?

My memories of 2-player intv fun was centered around the sports games. MLB, NFL, and NHL were all quite fun. I often did not have very good competition. I think I stole home 2 or 3 times in one game against my friend. I think Boxing was the best 2-player game. It was a mind game as much as anything, and probably the only boxing game I can remember that had a "feign" button

I remember thinking how good the sports games were compared with the 2600 tho. Atari 5200's came after and blew them out of the water tho. Soccer, Realsports Baseball, etc. were quite a leap ahead.

Are you taking preorders yet?
Taking regular orders for Bally War now. Will be shipping in the next 3 weeks. The game was done in 2007, the first print was done in 2010. This is a 2nd print as the first one was only 20 copies. There won't be another run.
Now I did not mean to derail this thread. It may be some time before we can claim that the Bally is the most supported vintage format
I have a lot of games planned. -
Just as a note, I should have mentioned, this includes Cart, DVD case (box), and Manual, just like the first print. The dumb-ai bug was fixed and 2012 is on the copyright, other than that it's the same game.

WAR! For the Bally Astrocade - 2nd print
-----------------------------------------------
This is to announce that we are in the process of making another run of War. This run is limited to 30 copies and is very likely to be the last run of this game. The first run was 20 copies and was pioneered by Adam (Bally Alley) in 2010. Back then we were scrounging for parts and could barely get the 20 made. Since then we have able to get new PCB's made however the shells are still in very limited supply. Making new shells for future projects is in the works, but this is not a possibility at this time. Since the original run was so small and there is still demand for this game, we have decided to make this second run.
If you are unfamilliar with War, Nice and Games did a fantastic review of it after the first run. This can be seen here:
Ordering details:
-------------------
The price is $50 shipped via priority mail inside the USA. If you are outside the USA the price will be $57 shipped via USPS First Class International. This includes the cart, DVD Box w/insert, and Manual. I am going to be responsible for handling payments and shipping of the games. For the next 7 days there will be a limit of 1 game per person. If the 30 are not sold out by this time next week, I will allow extra copies to be purchased. We are under a very strict time schedule for getting these shpped.
Shipping will begin in 3 weeks or less.
SOLD OUT
Thank you!

"Hack" is a very poor word to choose for describing anything other than changing the graphics and/or level data in a known rom to make a slightly different version of the game. The proper word you want to use is "port". When a programmer "ports" a game to a new system it can be written completely from scratch or by using some parts of the original code (assuming it's the same processor or video/audio components that would not have to be re-written). Some ports are easier than others, depending on how much the machines have in common and how knowledgeable the coder is of both machines.
The insult comes when you compare a "hack" to a "port" as they are very different things. I think the homebrew coders understand what you meant in any case.
Speaking of ports, a 2nd print of
will be coming within the next 3-4 weeks. Look for my announcement hopefully later today. It will be limited to 30 (first print was only 20 in 2010).Maybe someday I'll code for Colecovision. Like the Bally it's a Z80 processor but the way it displays graphics is radically different. A "port" would require a great deal of the code to be written from scratch

The black circle is a button of some kind. I assumed it was a reset button. I don't have a Vectrex to test this on. Hmm Okay thanks for the information, It seems as if it's still a mystery which version of the multicart this is.
