  1. WAR! For the Bally Astrocade - 2nd print ----------------------------------------------- This is to announce that we are in the process of making another run of War. This run is limited to 30 copies and is very likely to be the last run of this game. The first run was 20 copies and was pioneered by Adam (Bally Alley) in 2010. Back then we were scrounging for parts and could barely get the 20 made. Since then we have able to get new PCB's made however the shells are still in very limited supply. Making new shells for future projects is in the works, but this is not a possibility at this time. Since the original run was so small and there is still demand for this game, we have decided to make this second run. If you are unfamilliar with War, Nice and Games did a fantastic review of it after the first run. This can be seen here: Ordering details: ------------------- The price is $50 shipped via priority mail inside the USA. If you are outside the USA the price will be $57 shipped via USPS First Class International. This includes the cart, DVD Box w/insert, and Manual. I am going to be responsible for handling payments and shipping of the games. For the next 7 days there will be a limit of 1 game per person. If the 30 are not sold out by this time next week, I will allow extra copies to be purchased. We are under a very strict time schedule for getting these shpped. Shipping will begin in 3 weeks or less. SOLD OUT Thank you! Michael Garber
  2. "Hack" is a very poor word to choose for describing anything other than changing the graphics and/or level data in a known rom to make a slightly different version of the game. The proper word you want to use is "port". When a programmer "ports" a game to a new system it can be written completely from scratch or by using some parts of the original code (assuming it's the same processor or video/audio components that would not have to be re-written). Some ports are easier than others, depending on how much the machines have in common and how knowledgeable the coder is of both machines. The insult comes when you compare a "hack" to a "port" as they are very different things. I think the homebrew coders understand what you meant in any case. Speaking of ports, a 2nd print of will be coming within the next 3-4 weeks. Look for my announcement hopefully later today. It will be limited to 30 (first print was only 20 in 2010). Maybe someday I'll code for Colecovision. Like the Bally it's a Z80 processor but the way it displays graphics is radically different. A "port" would require a great deal of the code to be written from scratch
  3. I'm going to get so much milage out of this quote =) Bump, lots more auctions added.
  4. The black circle is a button of some kind. I assumed it was a reset button. I don't have a Vectrex to test this on. Hmm Okay thanks for the information, It seems as if it's still a mystery which version of the multicart this is.
  5. For those who are interested I have a Sean Kelly multicart for sale =)
  6. Here are the games listed for the 2.0 version of the Multicart. 3D Crazy Coaster 3D Minestorm 3D Narrow Escape 3D Pole Position (fake) All Good Things Armor Attack Art Master Bedlam Berzerk Berzerk II Birds of Prey Blitz! 7. Does anyone know which version of Sean's cart I have here? It doesn't have the dipswitches from 1.2 and previous versions but the label is somewhat different than what I've seen of the 2.0 versions (where he has a © 2002 on the label).
  8. Peedenmark bought 2 more 7800 games from me. Again, no problems! Enjoy Water Ski and Basketbrawl!
  9. Are these different than normal atari 2600 controllers? Tell me what to look for and I'll check. I have a couple huge boxes filled with controllers.
  10. 2nd run of Bally War available soon (30) .. more details later.

  11. I said WAR ... HOOH! What is it good for? (more obvious hint here:

    )
  12. I never got around to doing the homebrew programming on the vectrex so this is still "new in the box" If there's interest, make an offer. Anything reasonable =)
  13. Taking offers on this. My vectrex is long gone. I don't know what they've been going for but always willing to give a deal to an AA member. ** sold **
  14. War.. hooh! What is it good for? *hint hint*

  15. Ahh you sold yourself short.. shoulda gone for the 650-in-1
  16. Guys I've run out of popcorn! ;( I know you are both good traders as I've done deals with both of you and it saddens me to see AA guys fight. It sucks when you don't get what you expect but reputation means a lot in this community. You should try and work it out in PM's instead of bashing each other in public.

    Without closely inspecting a lot of these it's hard to tell what is for 5200 etc. There is quite a lot for each system tho.
  18. I agree that is good strategy but they should allow you to get some acid-proof boots or let you jump over the puddle if you do mess up. Not leaving the player any option other to die in some cases is not good design.. and I'm sticking to that
  19. *shudder* I can find no mention of a pc release via google.. just the classic reviews of the Jag one. If it was released then woe to Atari but here's some better pics
  20. I actually think this is not very good game design. The acid puddles can technically prevent you from beating the game. They should always give you some way to correct a mistake like that without having to start over. I think AvP was pretty decent for when it came out. As others have said it does feel very dated now. But think about it.. Aliens.... Predators.. BOTH IN ONE GAME?!? Way ahead of it's time =)
