gbennett0321 replied to CDS Games's topic in Atari 2600
We worked together at Acclaim (Sculptured) on Legends of Wrestling II, and now we both work at Disney. I know Jeff well, he soldered my original XBOX mod chip for me many years ago greg -
Programmer Adam Clayton (Dark Chambers)...an Adventure connection?
gbennett0321 replied to CDS Games's topic in Atari 2600
Yeah I have a great source! Myself. I have worked as a video game programmer in the Salt Lake area for the last 20 years. Among some of the studios I have worked at include Sculptured Software, EA, and currently at Disney interactive. Adam works for Disney as well. greg -

IS The FB3 project still alive?
gbennett0321 replied to Animan's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
And of course, if you can't include an actual cartridge port, could you at least *hypothetically* have metal pins or an edge connector to facilitate modding the 'hypothetical' hardware without soldering. GB -
Just tested my cart (#43). Tried my Kingston 2GB micro-SD card with SD adapter and just got the spinning yin-yan Then I reformatted via windows (FAT32 and gave the volume a name) - still no go Finally, I reformatted via a command prompt window format g: /u /fs:fat32 as indicated in a previous post (but no volume name) AND VOILA IT's ALIVE!!!! I haven't been this excited about my Atari since the UPS guy delivered our Sears Telegames in the late 70s. Awesome! greg

Don't forget to mention that the Atari 2600 has only 128 BYTES of RAM (it would just barely hold this sentence). Also, the 2600 can only directly reference 4K of rom space (although through bank switching, carts up to 32K have been made). Just the icon for a Windows game can easily be larger than the largest Atari 2600 game rom. GB
