1. If you're willing to sit through a 12 Gb download, you can get the entire TOSEC Atari ST archive at https://archive.org/details/Atari_ST_TOSEC_2012_04_23 Thankfully, you can also browse the archive and pick and choose whatever disk images you want, as opposed to downloading the whole thing.
2. I remember playing this machine back when I was around 13. They had three of these set up in an arcade at Canada's Wonderland. Cost 75¢ to play (back in the early 80s--rather costly game to play back then.) And yes, it did suck. There was no real game play value, and with a machine that size and a stature (mine that is) that small meant for not much nudging and a waste of 75¢

5. I have the lastest update, there is no hombrew channel avaible.. was that another joke I suppose...can anyone provide an answer?? To get the Homebrew Channel installed, you'll need one of 5 games (best one to use is Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as this exploit will be the hardest for Nintendo to get around), an SD card (not HCSD, at least for the first step in softmodding your Wii--you can use an HCSD card once you've finished installing the hack), and the step-by-step guide available here. Once you have done that, Wii7800 is available from the Homebrew Browser. Install. Then load up that SD card with your .A78 format ROMs (copy them from your PC to your SD card, in the WII7800\roms folder), put SD card back in Wii, load Wii7800 from the Homebrew channel, and have fun!
6. You are correct in the fact it looks damn cool, but can Ninty (or Sony for that matter with its NGP or PSP2 or whatever they want to call it) compete with what's become the new leader in the portable gaming market: Apple. If both Ninty and Sony would offer games at a buck a piece, they'd have a chance. Alas, they won't, and they'll both suffer the consequences. Despite what either company will offer with their new portable systems, the i(whatever) will trump them if only for the fact iOS apps are comparatively cheap.
7. From what I judge from the photos you took, that is well worth the price. The question, of course, is whether or not you like Kangaroo, and of course one can't judge the shape of the controls or the coin slots by just looking at the photos. Ask the seller to let you play it and inspect the insides for any signs of decay. If all checks out, go for it! If anything else, you can rip the guts out of it and turn it into a MAME cabinet with the old beige box you probably have in the attic somewhere...
