I checked everything and now have the system to the point where everything seems to run fine, but I have to place the cart in just so--if I insert it the entire way either the power light does not come on or I get the red screen. If I jiggle the cart upwards slightly it works!! What could cause this?

I am a new Jaguar owner and have a question. I only hace one cart--Cybermorph--when I put the cart in and turn the system on, one of three things occure: just static from the TV, a Red Screen with the Jaguar name or the game will load. If the game loads, it seems to play fine except for some minor "static-like" interference when I press a button on the controller. When I let the Demo play, everything is very smooth, no type of artifact. All of the contacts have been cleaned on both the cartridge deck and the cartridge itself. Is cartridge placement somewhat "tricky" (like the old NES), is it a bad cart or could something be wrong with the system itself? Any input would be appreciated.

I bought the unit from an ebay auction, and have only had a a short while. But the general consensus is that it is either a bad chip or a heating problem--I just hope it can be fixed, the unit itself is in great shape (not used because of this problem???) Thank-you

First, let me say that all of the advice that I have either received or browsed through in this forum regarding technical or repair issues has always been excellent, so I'm hoping someone can offer advice on this problem. Basically, my system plays fine for several minutes, but in the middle of a game (and I have tried several games with the same result), the system locks-up. I go from perfect picture and sound to lock-up, no distortion in the picture at all. I have already cleaned the system, including the contacts for the carts and dusted it inside and out. I have switched the RF adaptor and the cable connecting it and the system. I have also tried using both channel 3 and 4. None of these things worked. Please tell me what you think--Thank-you, Greg

Please understand that I am new to this Commodore system, but after hooking-up my Vic-20, and getting the boot-up screen, as follows: **** CBM BASIC V2 **** 3583 Bytes Free Ready. -(blinking cursor) I cannot enter anything. There always seems to be a dash before the cursor, which does not appear in any of the manuals--I'm not sure if that is important. So I seem to boot-up fine, but cannot advance the cursor or input anything. Also, when I hit INST/DEL instead of the preceding dash deleting one advances. Hitting RUN/STOP and RESTORE seems to get rid of the dash, but still no input. Can anyone help? I hope this is an appropriate forum for this question. Thank-you

I recently purchased an Atari 2600 Six Switch, and have been noticing a problem where the picture does not stay still, and then it looses color. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem may be--just a reference in order to begin identifying the problem would be helpful.
