  1. Wow, fantastic collection. 15 year old me is going NUTS right now just looking back over all of this goodness. I have a pretty decent Atari 400/800 collection but am drooling at the thought of being able to have all of this at one time. But my guess is that the asking price will be well beyond what my wife thinks is a good deal. I also was directed here from Facebook.
  2. Add me to the list for a boxed version if they are still available! Thanks! The game looks great!
  3. I was going through my Atari 2600 units and noticed that I have a couple of heavy sixers - one Atari and one Sears - that aren't listed in this "official" serial number list. That list hasn't been updated since 2009 according to the latest edit, so not sure if I should even bother taking pictures of these to add in? For the record, here are the SN's: Atari unit: 25573H No switch or slot Sears unit: 64920S Nos switch or slot Both Sunnyvale Thanks and lmk if I should add pictures for the database.
  4. Just fried my Jag this weekend. Atari 400 ps got plugged in by accident... now it's a paperweight. Still doing this service?
  5. I've been on ebay since 1997 and collected everything from comics to sports cards to Hot WHeels and Star Wars, and eventually, I've sold them all off. When ebay was young, it felt more like a community as well, but now it's all about fees and profit, so I went from buying and selling 200-300 items per year to about 5 per year. Now I do all my trading, selling, and buying on forums like AA, DP, RFGen, and a few others because it does have that "community" feel and I don't feel like I'm supporting some scumbag scalper who buys all the clearanced games from Target and throws them on ebay to make a quick profit. The stories and reasons behind the sales make you feel like you know the person, the way buying from a favorite local mom and pop game store makes you feel better than buying the same game from Best Buy or Game Stop. It's the same game, maybe even the same price, but you feel like you are making a difference in someone's life at the smaller more friendly shop.
  6. I'm interested! I've got a MD, but it's not in the best condition, so please lmk what she has!
  7. Mine arrived yesterday and I got around to opening it up today. The packaging, artwork, and overall quality of this is great! You've done a really good job with this one - I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for your next offering.... Thanks again!
  8. Looks like #13 is available? I want it! Put me down - money's on the way! Holt
  9. There are so many bugs in their site now...what happened??? Half the time the Online Rarity guide is down. The new forum site is a joke! I try to post and it asks me to login, accepts my login, then sends me to the login page again. It's the LOGIN LOOP FROM HELL! I've been a faithful DP watcher/poster for years now and I'm about ready to walk away... GRRRRRRR...
  10. Yeah, I'm used to going on there and it's just nuts....
  11. I just checked through my 2600's and found 2 lights in the bunch: Sears Arcade - S/N 81338787 (has channel switch, Taiwan sticker, speaker slits) Atari VCS - S/N 568426137 (has channel switch, Atari-Wong sticker, NO speaker slits) Add em to the list!
  12. Yeah, DP has been down now for a couple of days. You don't realize how much you miss the 10-15 minutes you spend looking over the Finds and For Sale threads until they're gone! I feel like I'm going through withdrawals!
  13. It's normal for them, just wait it will return. Still waiting....been down all day. I think I first tried to get on today around 8am, so that's 14+ hours and still going....

I purchased an Audio Technica USB turntable a couple of years ago and was terribly disappointed in it. Not to say that the equipment itself was bad, as it was a fine turntable that produced good music, but the software was not very user-friendly and had many bugs in it. It cut the last 5-8 seconds off of EVERY song that I tried to burn to the computer, so I would have to run about 30 seconds long in recording on each song, then go back and edit them. I downloaded other programs to try to do this better (like Cakewalk) and they weren't much better. In the end I finally sold the USB turntable to a friend who didn't own one because it also had standard outputs that he hooked up to his home stereo and NOT to his computer - and for $100 it's a quality turntable for him. As for me, I use my ipod now to listen to music about 95% of the time, but when I want to actually "hear" my old records, I just go up and put a few on the old Technics turntable and just take it all in...
