Here is the seller current auction:
I don't understand the bit about the driver. Is the driver included? Is the driver deceased and included?
Wonder what is shipping to the States?
Nice stickers on the side

-
Thats because no one wants to buy a $30 cart for $210
-
No last second snipes? Boo-hoo...

My sniper crashed

The cleaning lady at work is named Rosa.
Must be her.

Have the Australian Cyber Police division kicked down the admins door and hauled him off to Wallagong Cyber Jail yet. I hear its impossible to escape as it's guarded by Cyborg Kangaroos and Laser Koalas.
I off to visit him this arvo,I'll give my regards.

Why are people bidding on this? The seller has nicely explained how this thing is not a true original product, and yet people are bidding on it?
Because they are not genuine bids.

She's back... BUT NOT WITH AIR RAID! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/atari-2600-Game-NOT-AIR-RAID-SPACE-GRID-RARE-RARE-RARE-/111830426704?hash=item1a099ce450:g:8BIAAOSw7FRWUZQ0

This one is up to $460 already, who would bid that much for a $30 game ? I see the #26 bidder is in on this one as well.

I noticed that too. Just curious what deals or communications you had with the seller that made her mention you in the auction listing.
None whatsoever.
-
Well when you give free Atari systems out you become a popular guy.
Lazy guy more like it,I couldn't be bothered selling them.
-
It's up to AU $810.00!? WTF? Someone has money to burn.
It's only that high because my name is mentioned in the auction.

Why does it come in an old school VHS box?
The colouring doesn't look right,it seems more faded than the original box, most likely a scan then then they put it in a VHS box,but the cart is real.
-
Welcome to Atariage!! That is rule of thumb to the newcomers. You have to learn the legacy of Backin89. Here's some more forums.
None of your links work.

Why would there be an Air Raid in Australia anyway? If there was, it belongs to a collector, who paid assloads for it.
Some of the rarest games in the world have come out of Victoria,Australia recently.pity this isn't one of them.

I was wondering about the PAL sticker mentioned in the auction. Have any PAL Air Raids been found? I'm surprised any would be made with so few carts being produced.
No and there isn't any PAL Air Raids, that is just more evidence of the cart being fake, the makers of Air Raid barely made enough for the USA market, the company was not big enough to expand to PAL lands.
-
WTF is wrong with people, between that fake Air Raid and this PAL Mangia people are so desperate to buy something rare that they will pay ridiculous amonts of money.
This is worth $350 tops.

If someone wanted to make cute little blue PVC T-handled repro carts to sell on Etsy for $50 a pop, I wouldn't have a problem with it.
But someone goes on ebay selling them as legit carts, that is douchebaggery.
Agreed.

Not sure what your angle is, but there's nothing funny about a person's family member passing away.
The issue is not that her dad passed away or had an Atari collection, but Rosa's refusal to admit the Air raid is fake and listing it as genuine to dupe prospective buyers. One of our very own recently got conned out of $700 on a fake Red Sea Crossing repro so it happens, and it makes me a sad panda when collectors get duped.

No angle.

Rare Game Variation "Space Tunnel" With English Writing Complete!

There is nothing special about this box being in english,it is from Bit Corp an Australian company and they made plenty of "english" Atari 2600 games.
It certainly is not worth anywhere near $700,I would put the value more like $100.
