How much is 5200 worth and where can I find working parts?
SINGLE TOOTH replied to Baconbitz's topic in Atari 5200
That was a nice buy. -
Actually I just sold my copy of 2600 picture label Pac-Man on ebay and got a cool $89.85 plus shipping. I wish. What is this ebivision pacman everyone is talking about? What is the Tod Frye's 8k demo?

Plus the controllers. (Where can I get them?) Also how much with all the peices is it worth? its worth $5 to me like it is... Are you going to get the parts and then sell it? 5200 stuff is usually pretty expensive. I don't think you would get out what you would have to put in. -
I like the 7800 version because thats one of the few games that side scroll. Another thing I really enjoy is the big-nosed bastard as the main character.

I've got an Atari heavy 6-er... Serial 67260G Wouldnt it be cool if you just bought a 2600, brought it home, typed the serial into a webpage, and you could see all the owners it has been through? Yes, I'm actually working on an update of that for over at Atari HQ. Also putting that together for Pong systems, 5200 and 7800. I cant find that, where is the link????

:o What software do you use it on? does it come with it?

Either way, you're missing parts. -
Yeah, I would like to keep it pristine. The adapter or "Battery Eliminator" is pretty cool. But Maybe there is no saving it from the way your talking. If I would wrap tape tightly around the outside of the adapter, it may stop buzzing so bad. Otherwise im sure a 2600 adapter would work.

Can you buy tickets at the door, or do you have to order them????
-
Thanks for the tip. Do you know how to open the unit without damageing it?

I recently acquired a Tele-games pong system. When I plugged in the ac adapter, it started buzzing, and I became very alarmed. I tested the voltage before I dared plug it into the pong, and the pong works. Anyway, the buzzing is really bad, and when you hold the adapter tight, it doesnt make a noise. There are no screws in the adapter, anyone know how to fix?]

Got a pirated game on eBay, not on purpose...
SINGLE TOOTH replied to godslabrat's topic in Auction Central
Wow, I didnt realize this had become such a problem. That box text is really funny. Why didnt they just copy the back of the real box? Mario Mario Mustache!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My parents bought a sophranos season off ebay, and that was obviously home-made. Seemed like it was recorded right off HBO from a Tvo or whatever. -
Q: hey, this looks like the modem and not the broadband adapter. can you confirm it's the broadband? thanks! May-13-07 A: After researching the BBA a little more, I found out that it is not indeed a broadband adapter I have but an extra modem that was sold to me. I did not realize and am therefore going to inform all potential buyers not to pay when the auction ends. If anyone could inform me how to close this auction beforehand, it would be appreciated. Be informed that this is not the BBA and is a modem. I'm sorry for the hassle, and will look into my products more before attempting to sell them. Ha!!!!!! Yeah, that guy is defiantly a dick. But apparently the item still sold for $86 The seller ended this listing early to sell to the high bidder(s) at current bid price.

I heard from different sources different stories. One is that you can't play pitfall on a 2-port, and the other is you can't play pitfall on a 4-port.... SO WHICH VERSION IS TRUE?!?! I have both versions of 5200s but my rf switch for the 4-port fried. Also, why cant you play pitfall on the one system??? Is it a hardware problem, or a software issue? Someone once said it was a bios issue. If it is, I was considering throwing the 4-port bios into the 2-port system.
