  1. I'm doing my best to keep cool. My very best. Pray for me folks. :)

  2. I hate to bump such an old topic but if anyone could seed it would be appreciated. I've been stuck at 13 % for months. I'll easily seed for a month or so once downloaded. Otherwise anyone have a rapidshare or similar link for it?
  3. Now that is a gorgeous job right there! And the fact that you added daisy chaining to it... Very very nice.
  4. NICE! Thanks for that! This is one magazine I am hoping gets digitized to completion.
  5. I'm driving myself crazy here... What system is that white controller with the black face in the first pic to the right for? It looks like two soft dpads and a full mini keyboard included. Neato.
  6. There's only ever been one game to break this paradigm of always looking back to the Atari for me and that's Fallout 3. I've got it on both ps3 and xbox and getting a third copy for the ps3 with all the add on content once I can find it used. There's only been 2 2600 games to ever do that to me. Pac Man and Megamania. On the 8 bit I liked Gemstone Warrior, Cohens Tower but none of them have taken me in like Fallout 3. For once in my life I can say that I am starting to prefer modern systems. Though the Atari is "the first car, the first love" and the one you will never forget no matter how rapped up in the new you become. It's hard to beat a feeling, mood, age and all the associated bits of the world back when. Atari still trumps in that department.
  7. No go for me. Very happy with my fat and slim. Prefer the fat, too. I don't know who thought this one up @$249. At $99? Yup. And it won't be long hitting that price if it fails in the market as bad as it has with us serial buyers.
  8. I'm getting: 11 or so volts on the blue (when plugged into the board) 5 - 7 when unplugged from the board 5 volts on the red Seems fine. Next step is the TOS chip I take it.
  9. check your power supply voltages Thanks for the reply. Will do! I should have thought about it more before I posted. Little did I realize there's multiple voltages at work. Will post with the result.
  10. Title should read BAD TOS... LOL! Hi friends, Just got a nice deal on a non working Falcon. I've only tried the TV out (no vga adapter yet.) When I power it up I get: -Black / White rolling bars of static. -No Drive light. -No power light. -Fan does turn on and spin fine. -Drive does its seek and spin routine. From your experiences, am I most likely looking at a bad TOS rom (4.04) or a bad power supply? As far as I've gathered online a toasted TOS rom could cause this. Thoughts?
  11. "When asked how the Dreamcast2 would be competitive with Sony's PlayStation 4 and Apple's iPlay" WAIT ONE MINUTE! iPLAY??? I'm missing something here. Did we just jump timelines or something?
  12. That is beyond impressive! It's a great motivator for me to get my shizzle together and properly stage my collection. I don't have many games, mostly just systems & commons. Now I know why you guys go nuts for CIB! Very very uniform.
  13. I've always been completely sold on the PS3. It's feel, look and performance speak for themselves. I was both lucky and unlucky to pay full price when it first came out but thank God I did since I did get ps2 functionality. Before the PS3 I never played a single ps2 game and only played Tony Hawk on the PS1 for an hour at a friend's. The PS3 *really* brought me into modern gaming. Now if only they would unleash the hypervisor, engage the homebrew community (contests etc for ps3 store) and push yellowdog a little microsoft would seriously become nearly irrelevant in no time. Overall the PS3 wins but is on the backburner for now until the DLC is available for Fallout. I will never buy microsoft platforms again if the 360, vista & 7 have anything to do with my decision. If I followed my gut I would short their stock till the cows come home. Not really one to be a fanboy but Sony have a shot at taking down a giant, with a little goodwill & openness. Microsoft are going to be in serious need of MASSIVE restructuring when "skinned vista" or "7" hits the market and enough pros digest it's "pretty mediocrity". I digress... Bluray RULES. A $299 player that is a damn good game platform? SOLD. At $399 or $499 add a linux computer to the mix? Sold again.
  14. Are you on "The Rock"/ Newfoundland?

We just had a few blinks over here.

No rain or wind. Real odd.

  15. I have a purple case identical to that pink one that I got back in 98. I CANNOT part with it no matter how hard I try. I don't know if it's the late 90's mac look or is it just the odd factor. All my hackintosh attempts have been done in that case hehehe. The rack mount case could sure come in handy. Is that an ATX? If so, AWESOME. If not, well it's a rack case that you could put any sort of project in. Nice haul for sure.
  16. Hey dude,

The first year is definitely the worst and congratulations for getting through relatively unscathed! :)

I hear Ms. Pacman is a pretty good distraction. :)

  17. Albert, I was sooo afraid things would change around here in a way that would hurt the positive vibe like happens in so many other places but WOW! You have really added a LOT of goodies with this upgrade! You definitely have taste and a solid ear to the ground around here. I don't know how you do it. I nominate you as President and CIO of a reformed Atari Corp. Thanks a trillion for all you do to keep us crazy kids occupied! Life & the internet would really suck without the sweets provided here. Very happy with the new Atari Age!
  18. I remember sticky catalogs from the 70's and 80's. Mostly the ladies wear sections! LOL!
  19. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You got the buy anything atari related infection, too, I see! Damn I love this place. I feel pretty normal. My guess is a 5200 game. Probably incorrect, but it's my guess.
  20. I got his vote page as my start page. I do hope you win at least a lil something. Will facebook it too.
  21. Been there! I had my old dog for 15 of her 16 years. It tore me apart to have to put her down in '05. She was relatively healthy up to her last day but was suffering with "Doggie Dementia" or "Doggie Alzheimers". She would pace constantly 24/7, only sleeping when she literally passed out while walking in circles. She was also walking into corners, staring at it like a zombie and randomly passing out. It accelerated in the last week of her life. The biggest kicker was that she was like an attentive pup the day I brought her to get put down. I guess she died with dignity. It KILLED me and I bawled like a 6 year old girl for days straight. It hasn't been the same in the 4 years since and I refuse to get another dog just yet and go through that again. I know what you mean, this place seemed too silent and freezing cold when I got home without her. It stayed that way for months. Only after she died I realized how much time I spent with her. It was nearly 24/7. I work from home so she was always around sparing a scattered night on the town. The other day I was going through receipts that were unsorted and found the vet bill for the euthanization, her collar and leash. It was like ripping the scabs off a heart bypass patient. It's going to hurt a long time and unless you get another pup one day that hole in your heart will always be there! I'm so sorry to hear of this. Will throw in a vote!
  22. Thanks sweetie! It was a great day for me up here I must confess! I hope life is going perfect in your neck of the woods!!! :)

  23. These are the pics I took of the grow op (weed) I stumbled upon yesterday in my adventure just outside of town in a spot I used to go camping in my late teens and where I like to go to get away from this tangled city. Point form: -Stumbled on some flower pots and thought, well perfect. Mom would love these! They are BRAND NEW so I started to gather and stack them to take home. -Saw the names on the pots, "Romulun" (misspelled star trek race), "Pandora" and "J.C." (Jesus Christ). Hrrrm these aren't your average growers! -Saw a half dozen bags, some torn slightly and white speckled dirt coming out. Peeked inside, grabbed a plant and took a whif. What a pleasant savory like smell. Growing up, in my teen years, I got to know the smell. Hey, I *might have* inhaled a multiple of 100 times. Who knows?! -I'm no rat and *strongly* support the legalization and subsequent taxation of this stuff. But it pisses me off that these skulkers, of all people, evade "the man" every year and abuse the system while I am taxed to death, so I phoned it in. -Cops arrived, YUP weed. They think this is probably the same op they were searching for last year. They are combing the area tomorrow. Sorry about the quality, half the photos are screen grabs from video I took. Oh and the reason I was there, see the last 2 pictures. Update: I returned today and the goods are actually still there, no buds, but still there. I wonder if they even followed it up after.
  24. Hey dude!

I hope all is going well for you. Is it?

I haven't been on here a whole lot due to the gorgeous weather lol.

All the cuckoos keeping time OK? :)

  25. That is awesome Iwan!!! It's an infection isn't it?! I've had Atarism a while but not a terminal case like you!!! LOL!!!
