  1. Chuck-spoke to an atari dealer out in California and he told me it would be more trouble than it's worth to convert. This guy deals specifically with atari repairs/parts. I'm in the process of buying a new console (us version!)for cheap. Thanks for the followup post.
  2. Thanks for the warm welcome, Stanjr Look fwd to chatting more
  3. and thanks in advance for any help that canbe provided. Forgive the impatience(for not searching extensively on this site), but where can I buy a 2600 console? Thanks again!
  4. I recently bought an Atari 2600 console off Ebay from a guy in Australia (I live in Pennsylvania). I didn't think buying from someone internationally would be a problem since the picture of the console looked the same. When I rec'd it I realized the RF cable attached to the console had a different end piece-fatter, almost like the end piece you would see on the end of a cable wire. The adaptor is also different-the prongs are slanted instead of straight. What my question is: is there a convertor of some sort available for this? (I do have a regular atari adaptor and switchbox from a console I bought a few yrs ago). The RF wire does not fit into the switchbox I have. Any suggestions? This console is in mint condition and I paid a nice price for it, and would love to use it. It's a bit difficult describing the difficulties/differenences between the 2 models, but I thank you for taking the time to read this and possibly have an answer.
