It's unforgivable that Nintendo has not bothered to port the VB line to the 3DS. I'd also give my eye-teeth to see a Sega Master System 3D collection on that.

The big question is, have you tested it yet? These are NOTORIOUS for not working properly.

Actually, $45 for those three games really isn't too bad a deal if you really wanted them and the condition was good. Not a price to brag about, but not completely insane.

He's a wounded warrior, but still a hell of a deal. I really need to pay more attention to oddball games like this.

I'm not extremely picky, and I've been know to buy ugly carts if they are cheap enough, at least as placeholders. The one issue with carts though is the nastier they look, the more likely you are going to have trouble playing them, so it's not just about appearances. When I pick up lots of games, I'll usually try to compare the dupes with my current collection to see if there are any upgrades and keep the best ones of course.

Nice, I just wish they would stop flooding the list and consolidate those into one or two listings instead of a whole bunch of ads.

Looks like a couple of recent US sales for loose with manual are averaging $20-25, which seems about right. I think I've only seen it once in person in nearly 10 years. can't remember what I paid though. It's an R7 on the list here.

I'm pretty sure the cassettes are just for audio only. The controller cable acts like a remote start and stop button for the tape player. Certain parts of the game will activate the tape player and play whatever audio is on the tape through the speaker of the tape player. I don't think there's actually any data involved.

I'm not sure about the controllers, but I would definitely be in for a couple of those Seagull 78 Genesis adapters. With those I could finally have 2-button compatibility with my Battlestation II controller! Will being keeping an eye on this.

First real chance to get out this weekend, not a bad one either! Friday night at a VoA thrift - spotted these on a shelf by the TV's, usually any game stuff is at the front counter. The controller was marked $.90, but none of the games were priced so I bring them up to the counter to find out. At first the ladies were like, what are these? I told them they were old video games. She says usually the PS2 and Xbox games are $2.99, but these can't be worth as much since no one would want them. So we decided on $6.30 for the lot. Next day, a few nice finds at some yard sales. Digimon 3 Digimon World PS1 - $1.50 (this goes in the sell pile, looks like it's a $25-30 game.) N64 games - $3.00 each (keeping) SMK SNES - $2.00 Gameboy color Happy meal toys from 2000 - $.25 each Wii sensor bar - $5.00 A big box of C64 games that also had a bunch of Atari 2600 game manuals in it. I have no idea what I'll do with the games, but I recognized a lot of the titles, so I figured it might be worth something at only $2.00 for the lot. From the same sale, some old D&D miniatures for nostalgia sake, only $.10 for the box. They had some of the old books too, but nothing I didn't already have. Haven't tested it yet, but for only $4.00 I took a chance. Also picked up a bunch of CD's, book, ect. A couple of Sundays back, found this at a flea market, or rather my wife did. She calls me on my cell, "Someone has a Zaxxon table top game." Me - "WHERE ARE YOU? STAY RIGHT THERE!" Was tagged at $65, talked him down to $50. A little grubby, but it works and looks great. No crack, labels all there, and clean battery compartment. This one is definitely for the collection. Let's hope this is the start of a great season!

Well, the yard sale season is winding down in these parts. Haven't had time to post much of my finds this summer either, what little there was. The funny thing is that most of my best finds weren't even game stuff! Plus, I'm to the point where it's hard to find stuff I don't have, so I only buy game items it I think I can make a profit reselling it. Game stuff: Red Wii, one game, all hookups, Red Wiimote Plus with Nunchuch - $45.00 (yard sale) Nintendo 3DS - $45.00 Loose SNES Justifier Gun - $3.00 (yard sale) Sony PSP (fat) 100% complete in box, and like new - $40.00 (yard sale) Nintendo GBA-SP Black, case 2 games, accessories - $5.00 (yard sale) - Absolutely like brand new. Just wish it was a brighter screen model. Coleco Donkey Kong Junior Table Top - $20.00 - It's in fantastic condition too, (flea market) Mattell Battlestar Galactica Handheld (1979) - $7.00 - Again, top notch condition (antique store) Tomy "Daring Driver" Mini Arcade - $10.00 (antique store) Electronic Scrabble game - $5.00 - (yard sale) This one is weird, you still use an actual Scrabble board, but this acts as an opponent. Random Wii and PS2 games (yard sale) - $2-$3 each Sonic Pinball game from Tomy - $2.00 - I like pinball, I collect Tomy toys, and I'm a huge Sonic fan, what's not to love? This is actually the SECOND one of these I've bought this year, after never seeing one before. Sears Talking Computron with box and manual - I think from around 1985 - $1.00 works too! Tomytronic Tron game, 100% complete in box, and fantastic condition - $58.00 shipped - Ok, this was from Ebay, but still a hell of a deal! I've wanted one of these for years. It's a fun game too, which is probably why they are hard to find in good condition since kids actually played them. Except for a few odds and ends that was is for thrifty game finds this year. Now, on to Non- game stuff! Yamaha SHS-10 Keyboard from 1986, $20.00 - (yard sale) - Absolutely like new condition, probably never played, the strap was still wrapped up in plastic. This thing is super cool, and quite collectible as well, comparable ones go for $200-$250 on Ebay. Casio SK-1 Sampling Keyboard from 1985, 100% complete in box, all paperwork etc. - $7.00 (Thrift store) - Again, like the Yamaha, just perfect. I don't really even play keys (bass or guitar for me) but these are so much fun! The SK-1 was the first commercial sampling keyboard for the masses. Gibson Tenor Ukulele 1960 - $400 - (Craigslist) Ok, doesn't sound very thrifty, but this thing is AWESOME, and $400 was a STEAL. Make in Kalamazoo, MI, it's my first Gibson anything. And the find that has probably seen more use than anything above since we picked it up a few months back (except maybe the ukulele) A Zojirushi BBCCX20 Home Bakery Supreme Bread Machine - This caught my eye at a sale in a nice neighborhood. I had read bread machine reviews a few years ago and recalled this being a good brand. Looked it up on my phone real quick and confirmed that this was a $250 machine and was in brand new condition, with manual. Maybe the best $15.00 I've spent all year! We use it at least once a week, I even used it to make strawberry rhubarb jam just this evening.

Bought a used 3DS from a guy I work with. Someone who owed him money gave it to him, he sold it to me for $45. Nice shape, no games though or a charger, but I have one already that works.

Adjusted for inflation, they've pretty much always been that much, even more in some cases.

It sounds to me like you just want an A8, assuming you don't already have one. The 5200 does have some cool exclusives though, so I personally have them both (but then again, I have them all!) There's many options for controllers, but most are getting expensive and hard to find. Fortunately, 5200 systems and most games are not very expensive, but it is true that the controllers are an issue.

Assuming everything is complete and in mint condition like he says, that's really not that insane is it? For someone looking for an instant kick ass collection, I don't think it's that bad of a deal. Personally, if that were in my area, I'd consider it, or at least make an offer. The last 3D Imager on Ebay went for almost $700 by itself. CIB Polar Rescue is easily $100 bill. Granted, it's not a steal, but not sky high either.

Hell yes that is a deal! I've been looking for a Turbo Express in the wild for YEARS have yet to see one except for overpriced game stores.

I wish we had room, I know my wife would love to collect the Fisher-Price stuff. We both had a ton of it when we were kids. On the magazines, I was that way with guitar mags. Eventually I stopped buying them, and gave a huge stack of them to the local guitar shop for fun. This was in a small college town when my wife got her masters. This summer, 13 years later, I found a stack of old guitar mags at an antique store about three blocks from that very same (and now gone) guitar shop. I couldn't prove it, but I was 99% certain they were my old mags!
