  1. Yeah, It's not a easy thing to find. I've checked those 100 piece one's too. no luck. I really hate to drill it. I'm a purist what can I say, lol. I thought I saw one a long time ago on my old Dodge Diplomat Radio. It sure looked similar. I haven't had any luck with vise grips either. You wouldn't happen to know a good place for a replacement Battery compartment. I never can find these on Ebay as parts/ Repair. Wasn't sure if ther was anyone out there that had parts like B&C or Best. Best doesn't for sure, and didn't see anything on B&C either. Funny thing is Grad from Best seemed to know what it was but didn't have a name for the bit when I checked with him about 2 years ago. Thanks again, Nick
  2. I checked out the security bit sets, but of know of them looks to have a bit that would fit. It's like a tri wing with a indented center. Really more like a spanner with three pieces instaed of 2. At least thats how it should look. A regular spanner won't work either. I've checked all my security bit sets also. No luck. Any all help is greatlly appreciated. I'll send a pic. Maybe mines is diiferent . Hope this helps. Again thanks for your help. Hopefully I can track something down. It would be nice. Thanks again, Nick THanks Curt, What is the actual Name of the bit, so I can look it up? Thanks again, Nick

  4. I'm trying to find were I can get a Security bit for a old Atari Super Pong. I have had no luck with pliers or visegrips or any other method so far. I would like to try to find out were to get the bit. Best Electronics didn't carry them and thought they were around $10 if I could find one. It would be nice at least to know the name of the bit. Also does anyone have a spare Battery compartment for a superpong laying around. Mine is totally shot and would like to fix that with a replacement. THanks! Nick
  5. You would probably need to replace the cable because the TI uses pins 5 and 9 which may not be present in an Atari compatible Joystick cable. You should be able to wire up a Sega Genesis controller (inside) for instance because it uses all 9 pins and they are all present inside the controller. You will be giving up the dual joystick capability and would have to hardwire to joystick 0. You should be able to make a adapter for it actual with a old serial cable. I just made a adapter for the a set of Ti-99 paddles I have. Since I have the oppisite problem as you, lol. I have a ti-99 set of controllers and no ti-99 to test them with. I finished the set a while back but haven't tested them because I think the one controller is not going to work. The carbon contacts traces came off from cleaning. If your handy I can send you a link with the pinouts. I will double check though. This should be possible. The difference between the to was the one cable on the ti-99(from what I;m remembering) was used to tell which contoller was sending the signal. Ti use 2 conitroller 1 port, Atari 1 for 1. let me know if your still working on this and I will get the info to you.

  7. Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I have made my share (or more) of mistakes posting here. I like to think I'm batting above .500 and improving, though! Revsdr, before you go changing the transistor, power up the console and try this: press a finger on the clear & silver capacitors near the adjustable choke, and jiggle or rock your finger back and forth a bit. If the static changes in response to your pressing or moving your finger on them (possibly including the game sound coming in), they're bad, and the transistor is probably good. Some consoles do have other transistors, usually near the 3.58 MHz frequency crystal. The one you want is also near the adjustable choke, usually with 3563 marked on it. How did you make out with the Audio. I have the Field Service Guide if you need some help? Worst Case Give Best Electronics a call. Brad knows his stuff. I think anyone who has talked to him knows what I'm talking about.
