Hi I'm working on my project called JagModdEr. It is going to be a website with detailed guides and detailed pictures. The Guides will be, as said, very detailed and is all step by step with high quality images. My question is, for the images I will use thumbnails (smaller images) that link to an image that is much more bigger and detailed. I'm thinking of doing the 'big' pictures 800x600 pixels. Now lets say every image is about 130 Kb, would that be too big?

DARNIT!!! I was about to pick up my solderiron kit 'n stuff... All the electronic shops here are closed at monday!
-
Ehm you should fix the add/edit profile option. When I registrated my Skills were put at the Location place. When I wanted to edit it my homepage disapeard and I can't fix that one!

Nice site man! I hope to get my guide on modding the Jaguar online in a few months!
-
But... The freeware games that were programmed and tested with a flash card or alpine board. They wont work with BJL right? So a game programmed with the use of the BJL won't work on an alpine board or flash card right?

Oh thats too bad... Seems I'm going to need an laptop or something, an old one . But 4 points wont be that hard I gues? Oh and I probaly order the stuff from you via someone else because I need a credit card for Paypal. But you will hear from me, I need the other stuff first and in total it might take a month I'm afraid . I need someone that wants to invest in me XD... Anyone? Not all at the same time
-
Oh... Thats too bad, but was it tested?

One question, if the cartridges are so damn expensive, why not putting it on cd? A CD has more space available so more sounds, graphics, levels and all can be putted on it PLUS a CD is very very cheap. Then again, not everyone has a Jaguar CD but Battlesphere Gold is as expensive as a Jaguar CD!

1 point for Thunderbird, 0 for Tyrant... . It looks cool this Catbox but I won't be buying one. I don't have the money and I don't play that much on my jaguar and I also don't care if it makes the sound or screen a little better. It would be stupid if I bought it for networking because I don't have the games to network and don't have friends that live near to network with. What I would like to see is a (cable) modem for the jaguar and a game that works with it so we can all battle online

Hehehe OK! Is it realy hard to solder the socket onto the bootrom/jaguar BIOS ? And if I will start this project I'm going to creat a full guide with detailed pictures . I might offer it as a service here in the Netherlands for a reasonable price . Another question, when I send data to that JBL chip will it be gone when I shut off the Jaguar?
-
!!!! I will get a third one soon so I can fully mod it . I will add the BJL switch and all those other fancy things to it . Maybe some extra lights too
-
Oh and my other question. About replacing the Jaguar BIOS with the BJL BIOS. Is it possible to have both in the jaguar with an switch, I believe it was possible.
-
Ah man it just isn't fare that you have so much stuff
-
Yeah I can understand you don't want to release your "secret" because people are still buying it. But what I think, if people realy want to support the jag scene they should release this stuff for free, the guides ofcourse.
-
LOL! That would be great! But I have never solderd any consoles so the change I might screw up a chip is there. Anyway, I buy a solder iron kit tommorow and practice on the kits that come with it. But I'm sure going to get a third Jaguar to mod it . Problem is... I don't have much money left . Oh and another question. If I mod the jag and only have the BJL BIOS chip in it, so not the original Jaguar BIOS chip/bootrom can I still run the original cartridges? Anyway, I think I want to have a switch for it, much more cooler . NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT PRESS 'A' BEFORE STARTING AN UPLOAD YOU RISK LOSING ALL THE EEPROM DATA ON THE CART THAT IS INSERTED!!! DOUBLE-CHECK THE UPLOAD SCREEN IS SHOWING BEFORE YOU UPLOAD!) Oh my god! So if I would insert my most precious game and I forget the A button I might delete it! ARGH!!!!

Hmm thats very cheap. I have to sort ou Paypal, it was asking about a stupid creditcard number! I created a paypal acount because I didn't had a CC! Those sockets, how can I get those? Or can I get the stuff from an electronica store? Man o man I can't wait
-
Oh my I will read that another time
-
And how much would that chip cost? And isn't there a way to do it myself? If so, could I just get a chip and transfer the data to it? Ah man damn I'm realy getting myself a soldering kit and all very soon! I will also get a third jaguar for modding . I will add all the mods you described at that page
-
Yeah cool. I found out in a guide (on that side that explains how to add a switch and BJL switch) that the controller uses some connections to tell the jag what kind of controller it is. So connection those points isn't a problem I gues, but how do you add your own twist thingy?
-
Ok thanks, I can solder the stuff myself and also can create the cable myself . But do I need to replace the BIOS chip? If so, how do I get a new one or what?
-
Sorry for bringing up this old topic, but can't you post a guide with photo's of how to do your own?
-
Sweet man! Im getting my iron kit soon I hope. I'm going to do some solderkits and all and I think I will get a third jaguar to modify
-
Hi, I found this site http://home.t-online.de/home/Matthias.Domi...min/jag_eng.htm and it has some info about modding your jag. I think I want to put an reset switch on it but where I'm more interested in is that BJL thing. Can anyone explain me what the use is of folowing that guide, what this BJL is and what I need? Thanks

Nice collections!!! That wooden box, is it a real atari product? And the gun, isn't it one from a sega console? Does it actualy works?
