  1. CF Is challenging with it's choppy frame rate. Driving the perfect laps without colliding with the level or opponents isn't done that easy. I remember 11 years ago when I got the game I used to drive perfect laps. I loved it :P

  2. That's "Megadeth!" ;)

Wasn't it Thomas Edison put his own son in Jail for not being a "Patriot?"

To refresh your memory, though spelling may be something of an issue, this thread was trying to ask for opinions on using cartridge games with the Jag CF. I've pointed out reasons why that is illegal. Try READING the Hasbro Release of rights. It means that developers don't have to buy licenses to release new games and says Atari holds all rights to their properties. You won't do well in a court of law if you follow the yes votes in the poll and end up in front of a judge with a JagCF holding ROMs on it. If you don't accept no votes, why have the option? :P

GT, perhaps you could rephrase that "one" question? ;)

Nice comeback potsy.. you can't hold the developer of a product responsible for the misuse by the consumer. Just because it could be used for illegal use does not make the device itself Illegal, your statement WOULD NOT hold up in court.

This is true, but, for instance they sell a cf cart to Htbaa when he in fact stated he would use it to pirate games, well, thats a crime you could be held accountable for. As the developer of the product knows his intentions before the purchase, they are then helping him to pirate games. This is a very dangerous road indeed.

What makes you think I'll go pirate every game I can get when the CF is out? I never said that. Most games I don't own aren't worth my money or time (that's something I can only find out if I buy the game) so the CF is a great way to check those games out. If I like the game I get it. And who's saying that I solely want it for playing roms? I've always been interested in Jag developement but never got to it since I don't have the proper equipment to test my stuff. With the CF I can. If you don't want me buying the CF when it comes out than that's too bad for you. Sue me or something, the American way!

It's funny to see that in most topics about the existing flash card people don't have a problem with it, since that thing exists for roms.

  3. I voted yes. If the CF won't be too expensive and it will support playing roms I'm getting it. I can't get all the games out there and although Piracy stinks a bit, it doesn't matter for the Jaguar.

Good boy. Thanks for proving my point.

    Are you paying attention, Jagware?

I hope he is, because the majority isn't supporting your opinion.

I've bought the Jaguar and about 30 games. Since the old games don't make any money for the developers or publishers there's no big deal in playing them from a CF card. I guess you're also against the people who have a jaguar flash card. Or maybe, just maybe you have one yourself and you're angry about the fact you paid big money for the flash card and other people can get the same kind of stuff in the near future, just cheaper. Or I'm just wrong, would be funny to know if you would have a flash card :P. Or is it because you have a original copy of BS and don't want to see someone playing the rom?

Anyhow, I root for everyone who brings something new to the Jaguar scene. Although, not quite true... There are a few that should leave the scene. But hey, who am I :D.

  4. I voted yes. If the CF won't be too expensive and it will support playing roms I'm getting it. I can't get all the games out there and although Piracy stinks a bit, it doesn't matter for the Jaguar. Why? Because all the games that were released during the time the Jaguar was around don't give the publishers or creators any money. Publishers who recently released a Jaguar game should be too scared also. Why? Because if there is no rom dump, no one can play it right?

I really hope CF will come soon and I hope it will be supported big time by the community. The group isn't too big anymore so why block anything that might expend the Jaguar community?

  5. There's a Jaguar emulator in developement for the PlayStation Portable. It doesn't run everything yet but games as Atari Karts and Cannon Fodder seem to work, although very slow. It's a port of Virtual Jaguar.

I can't test it myself since I don't have a PSP. But it's nice to see that people are working on a emulator of the Jaguar for another platform then PC.

  6. NBA Jam T.E. ofcourse! Most played game on the Jaguar for me :). I just bought the PSX version on Ebay, I heard it was a lot thougher, lets hope so :D.

Docterclu, if you like sports games with weapons you should try out Dead Ball Zone for the PSX. Great game also. It has guns, chainsaws, bombs, and absurd attacks/moves :D. Gotta love it!

  7. Wow, I can't believe people are already willing to pay more than 50,- euro. Not that you don't deserve it Lars, you do! But looking at what price the game is normally selling... Think of what people are going to pay for Eerievale on Ebay *shocked*. Nice going though, good to see there's so much interest in your games :D.

  8. I did beat DD5 too! Some years ago, when I didn't have anything better :P. Well, that's not true! I had Kasumi Ninja, but I just bought DD5. Oh man, did I hate the fact that I could unlock the secret characters. Also, those CPU's blocked like hell, no fun at all!

Talking about those secret characters, has anyone ever unlocked them? Are they even in the game or what?

  9. It's some kind of mastermind game right? And instead of beating the mastermind game you need to diffuse the bomb. Are there any other things that add to the gameplay? I sure hope so. If so, and the price is decent (which I bet it is, knowing you a little), I think I'll get it. Then my Jaguar CD gets used once in a while too :D.
