  1. Did an oil change on my Ford Explorer today. I always use Castrol GTX. Best oil to use (IMO) Now, for those that want an excellent oil filter, use Purolator BOSS. It's a topoftheline filter from the company and offers amazing results. It my cost close to $20 dollars, but well worth it.

      Use full synthetic version of Castrol GTX? I always use the full synthetic (kinda brand agnostic, as long as it's full synthetic). Napa had a 5 quart jug of their Napa full synthetic oil plus a Napa Gold filter for $20. I got that for my last oil change. Wal-Mart's Supertech 5 quart jug of full synthetic is always $17 a jug.       I use Rotella T3 10w-30 with Motorcraft filter. Quarter million miles and still going.

      I do most our own oil changes too - so gratifying knowing just what you're putting in your vehicles.
