RIP. He was a great innovator. He wanted to do a FWD platform for small/midsize cars and a minivan back in the mid 1970's when he was at Ford, but HF II shot him down -- "small cars -- small profit!" But then of course, the gas crisis and competition from imports quickly arrived, so it was another 10 years before Ford had a FWD car and a minivan. Meanwhile Iacocca turned around Chrysler and created a huge impact on the auto industry with the K-Cars, minivans, downsized cars like the LeBaron, etc..
