This is the first I have heard of this. I thought maybe it was a joke, but then I checked. I guess it's true. Been a subscriber for a long, long time. It's too bad. About the only positive result - if there is anything positive here - is that I am running out of room to store all my various magazines and such. Did anyone ever type in the Mad computer program from - after checking, looks like issue #258, October 1985? There were versions for Atari, Apple, and Commodore. I forget why, but I remember writing the editors about that program, I had some sort of question. The reply came in my SASE - SASE, remember those? - many months after the fact, if I recall. A quick note at the bottom of my letter. I have it around somewhere. Anyway, sad news...but I learned that Marvel was going to revive Crazy this fall for a one-issue only event (doubt it will be the same). I loved Crazy, too, as well as Cracked. Oh well...

Actually, I checked some more info, and I guess there is an update to the story. And this is odd (yet maybe welcome, for me at least). Supposedly there will still be issues but they will have old content. If they start reprinting old movie/TV satires, that would be very cool. I guess the plan is to cease investment in new content. I really don't know, maybe there will be more clarification. However, this sounds to me like the first step toward a total cessation of publication. I'll have to go seek out any comment on this from a Mad artist's blog, Tom Richmond in this case...(plus I assume there will be more news on this coming up at Comic Con in San Diego)...

      Bummer!

Though to be fair the last copy I bought had Jurassic Park on the cover (so 1993),   actually it was Jur Ass Has Had it Park!  and it struck me as so funny in line @ the supermarket and the guy behind me and I were laughing and he grabbed a copy too!
