There's a guy nearby who has 2 of them as DD's.  They are cheap to keep on the road -- small carb'd 4 banger, manual tranny (if so equipped), and RWD.  Also sold as the Pontiac T1000.  My dad had a 1980 one for a couple years until he got a 1979 Plymouth Champ as his DD in 1986.  The Champ was FWD so better in the snow/ice.  

I barely remember those being given away on game shows BITD.

I remember the name, but couldn't tell ya what they looked like until I saw your pic...Know what I saw in the past week?  A real Morris Mini from the 60's W/Right Hand Drive, not a Mini Cooper...And a Citroen, like the one they got stuck in, in European Vacation...
