I was usually late to the party for any computer/gaming stuff. I got Windows 95 a few years after launch date. Suffered through 3.1 and a sub-28K modem for some time!
I got a Packard Bell PC in July 1995 with Win 3.11 for Workgroups and a mail-in coupon for a free upgrade to Windows 95. It arrived within days after the launch date.
My family's first Windows PC had Windows 95 but we got it in 2001... when Windows XP was already out. lol Wish they didn't throw it out cause then I wouldn't have to had built a DOS PC.
