  1. Here's a car that I like and would love to own. It's called the Lada Oka (VAZ-11113). It's discontinued, but I find this city car to be cool. 8^) image.jpeg.2d9f1fb1b489a12ee7da9262bfa8cff2.jpeg

That is the ugliest car I've ever seen.

Nice. What are the chances of me seeing this? That's the one they call the death bubble or something like that isn't it? Pretty obscure. There is an electric version too that only does like 15mph. Apparently they were popular in the russian recession of the 90s. The normal ones have half a normal lada engine right? I quite like the idea of ZAZ Zaporozhetses too. But the Trabant is of course my favourite soviet bloc car because, well its a trabant. Two stroke, and has duroplast, both are very interesting, and it looks like it has that nervous facial expression, has all the history, and just looks pretty good too, and is in theory a fairly practical car outside of not really any safety and the emissions and efficiency of the engine. Trabant is the most well known but it is also the most interesting imo. The Oka is one of those more normal by modern standards cars but is cool and interesting because its still pretty straightforward. Its light and apparently has soft suspension with lots of travel. Like Renault 4 i suppose.

Yes the SUV one is the Niva. UAZ trucks and vans are also interesting but not lada. They are considered more hardcore off roaders apparently. LuAZes have a factory abbreviation that sounds similar and they are also off roaders but they are also very interesting, probably the vehciles I find coolest of all. Look them up! Also Gold Leader, only the original "classic" ladas, the VAZ-21xx are the Fiat 124 based ones. all the others are unrelated to fiat. Even the ones that are Fiat 124 based have lots of things changed and don't even use a fiat engine at all. Renault hasn't owned them for long afaik, not at all in the time where Fiat was involved which was only in the 60s. Fiat 124 based ones were made up until 2014 though iirc, oddly the last place they were still made was in egypt. The romanian Dacias were always Renault based though and I don't think there has been a single one that isn't.
