  A bit pricey, but if I did Not have a VCR (which I almost never use), for some reason I would probably want one...Just to have...HDMI + S-Video out...Interesting. I kind of dig how in their return policy, it says, "We know this is not a small purchase for you."

  I can save you tons of money. Instead of sticking with VHS, go with cheaper and more readily available DVD (STILL OLD TECH), and a jar of Vaseline. Smear vaseline all over yojr TV screen. Voila! VHS quality.

  I have a lot of anime that was never released on anything except VHS. If my current vcr croaks this might be nice just to have things like component output and a more modern upscaler.
